Hello to all. Its been years that I've revisited this thread.

My 2005 GLX is already 8 years old and 95000km on the odo, and just had its PMS. I wasn't expecting what the mechanic recommended that the front shocks,brake pads & brake shoe had to be replaced. At the same time I had its alloy mags restored at promaster.

How much it cost me....
front shock (OEM) - 16,0000
front brake pads (bendix) - 880
rear brake shoe (bendix) - 1,800
oil filter (OEM) - 385
spark plugs - 540
mag restoration - 4,800
wheel fitting & balancing - 800
oil change (semi-synthetic) - 2600
labor - 3000

My bill racked up over 25T, as the shocks took a big chunk of the bill. But I guess the shocks did serve me well. And perhaps my APV will stay with me for another 8 years.

For the first time I'll be using Bendix brake components, as the OEM would have cost me 4 or 6 times more. I tried searching the same for the shocks but in vain. I had no choice but to take the expensive OEM shocks. But when I've bought the shocks, it had the name KAYABA stamped on it.

Has anyone seen a G15A engine side by side with a Toyota 2C-T? I am wondering if a 2C Turbo would fit inside the engine bay without any major modification, just engine support modifications.

I use pang Toyota Vios. Make sure you install the wire correctly. Kung surplus bibilin mo, make sure may harness wire na kasama.

Only difference is laging hi ang motor fan kaya mas matagal ng akaunti ang pag akyat ng tempt/ Pero sa tingin mas malamig konti ang ac sa trafficc.

Culprit was ignition coil (not far from what i suspected)

Gave the job to casa (troubleshooting & t-belt replacement). And the worth of doin it with casa..


Less the hassle and time of tinkering for me,so still worth it..hehe. Taga lang talaga casa labor.. I can replace ignition coil in 5minutes.

hi, question lang tungkol sa aircon. pag unang bukas ko ng aircon may bad odor, pero pag makalipas na yung ilang minuto nawawala na yung bad odor. Tanong ko lang kung normal ba to sa apv? kung hindi paano matatanggal yung bad odor? tnx

same with our apv sir mabaho ung aircon lalo na pag tag ulan parang may nag moist tapos na kukulob ung amoy,,,solution po siguro strong air freshener or aircon filter..

Ganun din problema ko Jimny ko. Halos bago pa. Amoy trapo ang buga pag bukas ng aircon.

Solution ko is to run the aircon on heater mode for a minute before I shut-off engine at the end of a trip. Thermostat pointing at 12 o'clock. Hoping matutuyo yung moisture sa aircon hoses.

Malaki naman ang tulong. di na amoy trapo. no need to mask the smell with car freshner.

last week my engine start to jerk once in a while but it stops after awhile. i experienced this before and the culprit was a spark plug.
yesterday, i replaced all the spark plugs with new ones thinking that this may be the cause again. after replacing, the engine don't start anymore. i checked the high tension cable and the coils but they are properly working. Also, battery is good, there's enough fuel and engine oil, and checked all the fuses with no busted found. any idea what other parts to check to solve this problem? appreciate your suggestions on this. thanks.

isa lang po "o2" sensor ng apv(ung naka kabit sa bahay ng filter element natin)(kung sira po un or mali ang lagay dapat may ilaw na engine check sa panel gauge natin)...pero kung sensor lang sagana ang apv jan..throttle position sensor etc...

sir pano po bang ayaw mag start??? as in wala talagang redondo??? or ayaw lang tumuloy ng start??

may redondo, ayaw lang tumuloy magstart. pina-check ko sa talyer kahapon at sabi nila baka yung MAP sensor ang problema.
