Di naman, pero I was expecting more knowing I have a manual transmission. I had a 1.3 Jazz IDSI Manual before and it was great on uphills.

On the plus side, Swift is great on twisties though. Very minimal roll over.

As compared to your previous jazz, how efficient is the swift in terms of FC? Saka sa akyatan ba laki difference nila? Though apples to orange ang comparison since iba talaga specs ng idsi na engine hehehe. Laki ba difference ng dalawa in terms of engine performance?

Swift 1.2 is more efficient. Performance is linear at the entire RPM range. The Jazz got more torque on the 2nd and third gear, which is a big help on overtaking.

Ano gamit nyo na gas sa Swift nyo? I use regular unleaded lang kasi on mine, and less than 600km pa lang natatakbo. Ramdam ba talaga na mas malakas yung hatak kapag high-octane fuel yung gagamitin?

(Palibhasa mura gas ngayon eh. hahaha. 1k full tank na!)

Thanks sir parang ito na kasi ang na coconsider namin over city or m3. Laki pa matitipid sa price. Need lang naman namin daily commute na matipid sa gas.

same predicament tayo bro, i chose swift because 99% of the time it will be just me and my gf riding it.
after using a kia pride hatch for 3 months, i dont think ill enjoy driving a sedan in manila's traffic.

ok na ako sa xtreme bro. may tiwala na ako sa seaoil. maayos ang pump nila vs. caltex near our place (kung saan mo ako dinadaanan). sa caltex bro 3x ko gas up ang layo ng palo ng needle vs. seaoil (every 1/2 tank ako nagpakarga) ang ok lang sa kanila yung magkarga ng hangin hahaha

btw re:low torque, nasubukan mo pa paabutin ng 3k-3.5k rpm nun umaakyat ka (*3rd gear) para sumipa yun vvt? yan kasi tinuro sakin nun mag test drive ako ng dzire mt. im about 190lbs, test driven it with my gf and 2 SA's roughly weighing about 160 lbs each + my gf is around 90-100 lbs. 4 kami pero lakas parin hatak and ramdam mo na hingi pa yun makina. 120kph * 3rd gear going to 4th.

anyway keep us posted kung nag improve sya and thanks for sharing

surprisingly sanayan lang pala. i can now overtake with ease, even switching lanes with bumper to bumper traffic is no sweat.

so, i checked on the recommended psi found on the inside of the driver side door... 29 psi lang pala s'ya. ang baba pala. all this time, i've been pumping it to 30 psi, smooth naman ride ko.

Thanks for the tip.
I normally change gear at 2~2.5k RPM to optimize the fuel consumption. But you make a good point. Will definitely try what you have suggested. Cheers!!!!
