First P40K difference between an M/T and an A/T is very reasonable.

No difference in their PMS expense.

However, much more relaxed driving with an A/T.

Based on my "limited" experience as a driver/owner.

choosing between MT and AT should not be because of the price. it should be a matter of preference. i myself wanted the MT so bad that i ended up getting from another dealer (long story but still ended up getting an AT :banghead: ). but after using the AT for a week of xmas traffic jam, i ended up liking it. not that i prefer driving it, but it was d*mn convenient. :thumbup:
took me a few driving hours to get used to it though.

strange thing tho..theres an audible sound everytime i turn the a/c on after a cold start. parang semi grinding sound that goes away after a few seconds. will have it checked on the first 1k pms. anybody have this experience with the 1.2?

Sir ilang months na yung swift nyo? May time ba nagtanong kayo sa casa kung ano yung grinding sound na yun. Nakaka bother lang, baka kasi di normal. Thank in advance

its normal bro, nadagdagan ang load. pero sakin kasi 2 seconds lang at hindi sya grinding, parang tubig/bula lang sa water dispenser. can you elaborate more about the sound, baka kasi may problema na. kung malapit ka sa pasig market market or cubao, pwede tayo mag meet parinig ko sayo yung tunog nung sakin.

What about yung parang knocking sound na parang kumakagat yung brakes? Habang naka half-brake papuntang full brake. Mine is AT by the way. May ganoon din daw yung pinagtanungan ko na naka-AT rin na kotse, pero wala pa kong nakakausap na may Swift rin.

Yung aircon startup sound normal naman ata for all vehicles. Meron din akin pero mabilis lang din, a little more than a second lang.

Naiirita lang ako may langitngit ung pinto ko sa driver side pag pinatong ko ung siko ko sa arm rest lumalangitngit pti ung rubber seal sa pinto lumalangitngit.

Loose door panel maybe? Parang may nakita akong ganyan na problema sa Ertiga thread. Covered naman ata ng warranty.

guyz may tanong lang ako. sabi kasi sa mga sites mas fuel efficient ung naka ON ung overdrive, pero after 1 month of observation, mas matipid sa gas pag naka off ung overdrive. ano ba talaga dapat? alam ko pag naka ON ung overdrive , lowering RPM means much fuel efficient. pano ba to?

Been here in Suzuki Pasig service center for 2 hours now. They're checking on my swift and why the airbag light isn't turning off. Hindi pa din ata makita why.

If ever they don't fix it, saan ko kaya pwede ipacheck to?

Overdrive ON allows the A/T to select any of the gears available (up to the highest gear) when speed allows. Example, for 4-speed A/T, it means the A/T can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears.

Overdrive OFF limits the A/T to select the lower gears only (excluding the highest gear). Example, for 4-speed A/T, it means the A/T can select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears only.

Overdrive ON ang mas tipid. Can you imagine driving your car in NLEX at 100 km/h using 3rd gear only? Your RPM will be very high and car will consume more fuel.

Just set Overdrive to ON and forget about it.
