for 1M that's still a risk to buy, if one will consider parts availability, even if it's made in Japan. Their Suzuki Jimny are very expensive to replace, imagine Aircon compressor at 3 times the price of a Honda CRV compressor

I think it's a good buy for 1M since wala ka nang makukuhang SUV for the price of 1M (unless it's a China brand). Besides, mukhang matibay naman ang aircon ng GV, gumagana pa ang aircon ng GV ko, 8 years old na. Wag sana mausog

meron local supplier ng compressor ang gv... denso ata.
the current gv is tough same with the jimny... i say even tougher than the montero and even more capable, but do remeber in other country petrol is cheap and diesel is expensive.

this beauty can climb inclines with less dificulties the other 4x4... to bad the 4x4 option is only by special request

It's not a good buy at 1M Kung ang natipid mo lang sa Sportage gasoline eh less than 100k. 1.1M lang Sportage at Di hamak na mas madami naman bumili ng Sportage. This vitara is high risk in the long term in terms of maintenance

The only thing drawing me back is the high fuel consumption. I heard it achieves a measely 6 km/ ltr city driving. My grand starex easily gets around 7-8 km/ltr in traffic diesel pa, mas malaki pa.

against toughness... gv trumps em all even the old vitara against the new kia or hyundai or even other japanese brand. yes gas guzzler at first and if and only if you dont maintain it properly.

it used to be a premium brand a flagship of suzuki here kaya if you bought one then gas would be least of your worries.- if i am corrct ala pang monty and fort ng lumabas ito at angnkalaban nito ay xtrail

pit the new vitara in which i've read fuel efficient daw... daw

No i am talking about the volume of consumption not the price of fuel. If vitara can match the 8 km/ltr of my starex then hands down thats great. But imagine its 6 km/ltr and its smaller than a starex. The first gen honda crv also consumes 6 km/ltr but the ride comfort and power compensates the gas guzzling effect. Fuel efficient talaga ang crdi. Anyway there is no waiting time for the grand vitara all color units available. Even with a great discount hindi pa rin mabenta. Bakit kaya?

I am really tempted to get one pag di na dumating si ecosport at ayaw ako bentahan ng avanza.

again diesel yun never compare... simple lang it's more than a decade old design with an old engine

heck comparing consumption of a diesel against a petrol, gusto mo magtipid at gas engine buy a pruis but wait mas matipid celerio sa prius or better yet buy a bike and add a carriage
