3 of my officemates have Grand Vitaras, they all get 5-6 km/L in city driving.

8-12 km/L is either highway driving or delusional city driving. Typical ahente salestalk. I don't understand why car salesmen can't just be honest with their cars FC figures.

I was kinda tempted to get this too. It was being offered to me for 960k. Cheapest non-China SUV you can find, with timeless looks.

But it's a 12 year old car, and it shows. No modern connectivity, inefficient use of space, anemic engine (despite the thirsty consumption), etc etc. In the end, if you just want a car that looks good, can handle any terrain, and costs less than a million bucks, this is a great car for you.

But since I have other priorities in a car, I passed on this one.

Wow 960k is very cheap for a compact suv. Sir jut, may i know the model of this GV? Is this the special edition? Problem with suzuki is their after sales, parts and service. I dont know kung ok na ang mga dealer ng suzuki ngyon.

The one available now, with the 17" rims, yeah I think it's the Special Edition. 3 of my officemates got GVs. Ok naman daw except the FC.

Hmm.. considering the engine displacement and only 4 speed auto, this GV in my opinon is gas guzzler. Pero the price is very tempting hehe.. Any idea about the reliablity, parts and service? I think touch screen na ang stereo ng special edition.

I have 2 grand Vitaras, one I sold already to my nephew for kamag-anak price. I still have the 2008 model. Both are very reliable pero as you said gas guzzlers. I only get 6-7km/liter. Pero kung reliability okay naman ang suzuki. In fact I had 5 suzukis in the last 30 years.

Hi sir jut 703.

Pag nagsimula na maging mainstream ang HRV and the likes, kahit gano ka-cheap, this will be gas guzzler, pero mura naman gasolina ngaun, yun nga lang hanggang kelan

The grand vitara now looks attractive given its price.
However, a facelift might be on its way. Hopefully, with better engine.

Hi Waver, if you're using the Tsikot mobile app, you can click reply, then click the camera/picture button to upload pictures directly from your phone.

If you're using a PC, you have to upload through other image hosting sites like imageshack and tinypic. Then, once you have the image link, you can insert it here by using IMG tags.

The new one looks very generic. Heck, all of the new models from different manufacturers looks the same imho.

Hi guys. Although admittedly design of GV is old and crude, its only setback is its 2.4 engine. If it was a 2.0 then i bet a lot more people would buy this. Ecosport is 985K and the new Avanza is 907K..i think for 960thou GV is a much better buy. As for after sales service, i own an SX4 2011.. so far not too much of a problem. Less people and less wait time than casa ng Toyota. Just saying maybe the GV is something to consider given its price.
