August 22nd, 2008 06:24 PM #13dalhin mo lang yung hose mo sa mga "power steering hose" shops.. they have the proper hose and fittings for your ride... also they have the right tools needed as you cannot DIY the hose repair.. your hose is CRIMPED and uses high quality hose since power steering operates under high pressure.. repair will cost 1k up.. oem hose cost around 4k to 5k...
it is normal in the first use of the brandnew hose your will hear vibration sound (ugong) but that is just caused of the brandnew hose.. once it bends naturally the sound will go away...
also it is normal that when you turn the steering all the way on any direction, you will hear vibration sound since the pump is struggling to give pressure to your rack and pinion eventhough the steering is in full turn, this can damage your power steering system...you should turn the steering wheel back a little to relieve the pressure.. It is clearly written on your owners manual (if you have) i suggest you read it..

new hose + crimping - 1,225.00
labor + ATF Fluid - 600.00
TOTAL = 1,825.00
heto naman un estimate sa ZAFRA
hose "replacement" - 4,200.00
labor - 750.00
TOTAL = 4,950.00 (di pa kasama ATF dito )
pag orig daw - 7,800.00

thanks !
