I got this from MI EDSA when I bought my FXT last year. Sharing with interested parties to give you an idea of the PMS price range for Subaru vehicles. This is page 1. It's not always exact; you can give or take a few hundred PHP's. Requesting mods to "sticky" this. Thanks.

Not that bad considering an econocar with only one diff can still reach 10-15k at the major 40k PMS.

Same with the forester, 5.4 liters ata ginagamit na oil kaya they'll charge you for 6 liters. Per liter kasi talaga bilihan.

November 5th, 2012 06:41 PM #9May I post mine all at Motor Image.
* 1.6k kms = P3,878 <- nothing broken
* 10k kms = P6,285 <- refaced front rotors for free, wiggling when braking.
* 20k kms = P8,843 <- need to replaced battery, but didn't.
* 30k kms = P32,158 <- (PMS + Cabin Filter = P11,552) + (Ball Joint Assembly = P4,606) + (4 Nexen Tires. Blown my Yokohamas = P16,000)
* 40k kms = P36,020 <- PMS + all the fluids (atf, engine oil, gear oil, coolant) + Front Brake Kit + V-Belt (ac and alternator belt) + labor at P4k
* 50k kms = P53,089 <- PMS + front wiper +power steering control valve *P26,468 + Stabilizer bushings + Steering Rack repair kit * P2,094 + Mud Guard Assembly * P 3,230 + LABOR alone is P10k ++ na.
My unit 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.0R M/T.
Fuel P6k x 12 months x 5 years = P360k
Maintainance, parts replaced as above, 5 years = P140k
Just to make sense of the cost. Cost really grows at 40k kms. 30k kms is tires, seems like the 1st generation Impreza tires are crappy. They blow easily with the slightest pothole.
Also, MI did replace the ball joints, because of all the potholes I've driven over.
From what I hear, most other cars replace belts at 70k - 80k kms. When you replace belts at the casa, your end cost is also around P35k++, as with my 2004 Lancer at Citimotors at 70k kms.
Subaru replace at 40k. Not sure why, advisor saw cracks at the belts, hence for replacement. If I did not replace belts at 40k, my cost would be around P20k. Same with my Lancer at 40k kms.
I also hear brake pads in MI is expensive (P7k++ for 2 front wheels) , can we buy any generic brake pads as a replacement? Bendix etc?
*50k kms, power steering control valve had a leak, did not see that, advisor said, since power steering control valve hoses are all metal in the 1st version, vibration will knock them/or wear the rubber seals loose, hence they replaced the unit with a new one, with rubber hoses. Me thinks, this should be a recall at their end for all early versions of Impreza, if possible, just replace the rubber seals.
For the steering rack, advisor was telling me, we are lucky, since for other brands, if they broke the steering rack, They need to buy the whole set. No repair kits.
