The ASX is not as quick nor fast as the FXT. The CVT tuning of Mitsubishi is not as smooth as Subaru. The ASX rides softer and the steering is lighter plus it is a bit more fuel efficient.

Sooner if the demand is high, Suabru might give in and bring back to life a new XT.

    As written from the article:

    The Price

Okay, this is the part that every SUV’s been waiting for. How much does the 2019 Forester cost? Well, you’ll be surprised that despite the increase in standard features, Subaru has opted to keep the price reasonably stable. The 2.0i-L is P 1,598,000 (a P 50,000 increase over the previous 2.0i-L), while the 2.0i-L EyeSight is P 1,698,000 and the 2.0i-S EyeSight is P 1,798,000 (a P 30,000 increase over the previous 2.0i-Premium).

Comparing this to other compact crossovers, the 2019 Forester is now more affordable than the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, Nissan X-TRAIL, and Toyota RAV4
    .

That's very competitive pricing that Subaru offers.

No way Toyota will offer something at that price. They are waving the T banner as a premium. The previous gen RAV4 was sold for 1.4M (base model 4x2), 1.6M (mid trim model 4x2), 1.8M (TOTL 4x2 model), and 2.1M (TOTL AWD model). The pricing was even more expensive than what Subaru was asking for the Forester SJ.

The new 2.0L engine (170hp/203Nm) offers better output per displacement over the older 2.5L engine (180hp/233Nm).
