Hahaha...think of the benefits...lesser road & carbon footprint; commute & workout time savings...The petrol, maintenance, gym budget goes elsewhere...like charity, perhaps?....Be the cool green minded, I'll be your unwanted primary fan![emoji6][emoji106]

That would also translate to carbon footprint inside my lungs. [emoji23]
Anyway, another thing that's bugging me is that I haven't seen a single 2019 Forester on the streets up to now... except for one na nililipat ng Service Staff ng MI Greenhills papunta sa likod ng bldg. nila.
I drive along EDSA daily, and everyone knows that when one passes EDSA, one would see just about EVERY brand and model of cars...The new Forester is just nowhere to be found. [emoji853]

Ok, I finally saw one just outside BGC.

Cost cutting measure: the hood lost the hydraulic arm/struts which the previous gen (SH, SJ) had.
+ one less part to fail in the future
- Subaru cutting cost
Just bought mine last week. Love the car, except ride is a bit bumpy on uneven roads - which is basically 80% of our roads esp EDSA. It can handle individual bumps or potholes, but make it go over a stretch of concrete unstable pavements, it makes driver and passenger sway /float / wobble semi wildly in their seats. Wondering if any of you has had the same experience?
Tire pressure is 34/33 front rear respectively
Well that's sad...
I'm in the market for a new car and the Forester is at the top of the list (though I haven't finalized yet). I was able to test-drive it but not along EDSA (actually, that northbound stretch in front of Camp Aguinaldo, the lane nearest to the bus lane, approaching Bonny Serrano, is what irks me the most during my daily trip going home using my current car... I just realized that's where i should test-drive cars).
Anyway, could it be possible that you were comparing the Forester's ride with that of some other car?

Well it's my first SUV, so don't really have a benchmark on how one should handle or drive. Any insights are appreciated.
Stock tires are Bridgestone Dueler HP 225/55/r18. I've been researching on forums and some say it could be the tires as well.
I also had the control arms and end links re-torqued to spec by the dealer just to be sure. Same feel though, is still a bumpy ride on concrete uneven roads. Don't get me wrong, it's great on asphalt - say C5 or libis, smooth. But the moment you hit EDSA, Katipunan, or other unstable roads, we wobble away.
Yes, I will do that if I'm able to do another test-drive.. yung dati kasi sa BGC eh. So there wasn't much uneven roads to roll on.
By the way, what do you mean by wobble? I can visualize a car's wheel wobbling if it got bengkong.
Do you mean the passengers are wobbling inside while negotiating along certain portions of EDSA?
Or
Do you mean the vehicle is wobbling away from the lane?

BGC is asphalt so good roads yon, itll be a smooth ride.
Re Wobble - I'm referring to passengers bouncing inside and swaying left/right in their seats a lot. Think of it as like being in a boat or on top of a mast in rough waters. It'll eventually level again, but takes a few bounces left and right before doing so.
Alignment is good so no pull or swerving away from the lane. Just really the bumpy feel.
What he is describing is a "firm" ride ... Most sporty vehicles ride this way ...
Is "firm" the right term? In any case, as ive said the car is great.. just gathering inputs if this is indeed normal for the vehicle so i know if anything needs to be checked.
Came from a civic rs turbo - wasnt bouncy but this did ride low tho and is a sedan. But yeah better to compare w other suvs too from you guys. Thanks!
Thanks for the info Sir lester86!

Check your tire pressure ...
With a firm suspension, the vehicle is stable while passengers are thrown around ... With a soft suspension, the vehicle wallows around with passengers enjoying the ride "comfort" ...

Juat like the feel when transitioning frim stock shocks and springs to coilovers, I suppose? But coilovers are way too firm, I get that. Hehe.
