Got my 2.0iL dark gray metallic last Friday. Very happy with my decision. With AWD, boxer engine, legendary Subaru racing heritage and all the toys in it, yes, the Forester is a no-brainer! Come to think of it, the other main competitor (CX-5) doesn't offer these features and has to come up with gimmicks like Yohjin free maintenance, Skyactive and curvier body to compensate for what it lacks vs. the Forester!

Does the premium also have paddle shifters and that LCD screen like that in my XT?

nope, i think it's unnecessary for the non turbo forester to have paddle shifters because of it's power. LCD would've been great but i'm sure the price would be closer to the fxt if it came with it.

I would have preferred these features only to keep the prices low:

    1. Sunroof. (should have NOT been taken out in the first place).
    2. 18" aluminum alloy wheels

The rest of the other features are unnecessary, imo. Really annoying to use is the power tailgate.

i agree with the sunroof and the 18" rims. the power memory seats is a huge plus for me. push start button i can live without it. leather seats i actually hate. power rear gate i could also live without it but better to have it for me.

    20.iL base owner here,

btw forester guys try to watch this !,

The 4th generation Forester development movie
