Wish it could have been held at the Big Dome though given the big turnout of supporters.

diliman republic 's seven gagate renders him ineligible this season due to a hand injury

Seven Gagate, out of the UP roster for Season 87

sayang din ito si gagete. he failed to showcase his true worth last season because of a roster log jam at his position.

aside from the rookies to watch out for, i think the player that might break out this season is that vhoris marasigan kid from dlsu . he has a simple solid game that's sort of a throwback. it's his time to shine.

sa ateneo naman, i'm hoping it would be josh lazaro's time to take some of the spotlight. he's too physically gifted and too versatile to not showcase his wares. ang problema, i think he's too mild not to defer to his more "flashy" teammates.

iyong sa up , ang sabi nila iyong si big man quentin millora -brown ang kailangan bantayan. i haven't watched him yet pero his reputation - or maybe hype? - precedes him.

As a Blue Eagle, this is probably the worst pre-season that I can remember. The BJ Manalo exit and Ryan Buenafe academic issues follow behind it.

Ah those are nothing compared to the 90s dark ages of Ateneo hehe. I have tapered down my expectations for the team this year. I think best case scenario for them is to be at fourth again. But realistically, this might be the first time in Tab's era na hindi sila makaka final four.

nakabawi naman sila nung nag taiwan sila last month. they ruled the fjcu tournament even though the newcomers were still adjusting to kotz tab's system. the (perennial) problem was , they were still unable to complete their roster just like in the other pre-season ligas they joined previously.

let's hope the blue eagle fsa , victor balogun, is now healed completely from his injury. otherwise, it's going to be a very long tournament for the boys in blue and white.

also, i think kotz tab is extra motivated this season. his contract is up for renewal in december - if he's still interested in the uaap scene - so i reckon he wants to make this season count.

Kudos to UP for putting up an excellent, impressive opening ceremony. Seeing the E-heads now on TV.

sama ng free throw shooting ng Ateneo at the half. A paltry 10 out of 26 ata.

If they only made their free throws, the halftime score would be closer with Ateneo possibly leading even.

    Let's see sa 2nd half

As expected Ateneo loses to powerhouse UP. Ang lala ng ng freethrow shooting nila, si Tuano lalo pati na rin yung FSA natin (sorry forgot the name).Sa UP ang tangkad nung Brown & ang galing ni Cagulangan.

Looks like UP will be the biggest threat to La Salle's back 2 back bid.

chris koon won't be able to play in the next game pala. it looks like his injury is worse than everybody thought.

anyhow, i still like the chances of the blue eagles. once the kids settle down, i think they'll be dangerous. nadala lang ng moment kanina pero maganda ang motor nila at disiplina .

si josh lazaro muntik na mag -double double. if he keeps this up, he's going to turn heads.

waki espina will likewise do some damage when he gets the flow of seniors ball. he was a scoring machine w/ the dlsz junior archers. keep an eye on this kid when he gets his groove back. there will be fireworks.

That's the NCAA trademark that prompted DLSU and ADMU to jump ship. The douchebag who did that should not only be banned but should be thrown in jail as well.

Good thing nagpakatino na si Amores kasi maraming siyang mahahanap na katapat diyan sa PBA katulad ni Abueva at ni Belga.

Wow, great composure by the champs & the MVP down the stretch to stave off NU & avert an upset!

Side note: Ang panget ng transmission ng Pilipinas Live ngayon. Parang nanonood ako ng pre HD era ng Skycable nung 2000s, & ang dami pang glitches.
