    it really is.

all the teams' talent levels are almost at par w/ each other. most of the universities are bunched up in the standings w/ no squad having a definite edge as shown by the spate of 5 setters in the current round

but this just may be the year of the lady bulldogs. armed w/ the experiences she has garnered from her international stints and her forays into semi-pro ball, the towering jaja santiago is finally throwing her weight around unabashedly. w/ her partnering w/ the pretty filjap middle blocker risa sato, the sampaloc based sixtet may just finally bring home the hardware.

unfortunately, the man who molded this team, coach roger gorayeb, has been replaced unceremoniously. it's a classic case of "iba ang nag saing, pero iba ang kakain." the sy family is evidently getting impatient.

It could be a DLSU-NU finale, although the other teams are going to have something to say about it. The Lady Eagles have gotten their groove back winning 3 straight after losing their first two matches.

Sa WVT, Tapos na ang laro nila sa NU

Last two remaining games are with UP first then DLSU

Sa MVT, maganda itong rematch nila sa FEU sa 2nd round.

    GO ATENEO! OBF!

the weekend wasn't too bad for team ateneo as well despite the shellacking the lady eagles received in volleyball on national tv.

the most notable breakthrough for me over the weekend was the men's tennis team's achievement of finally forging a rightful playdate in the finals. matagal din ang tuyot dito

also, the fourpeat seeking men's vball squad waylaid their taft rivals to finish the 1st round strong after losing to feu in their season debut in an embarrassing straight set loss

and to top it off, the blue eaglets made it a rare double for ateneo basketball by annexing the coveted juniors hardware last friday in thrilling style. their victory over the rough and tumble nu bullpups was as exciting as can be

Aside from La Salle beating Ateneo over the weekend, another talk of the town is the surprise win by UE over Adamson yesterday. Adamson must have been still on cloud 9 when they defeated La Salle last week & felt invincible that they fielded in their second stringers in the game against lowly UE.

Adamson’s American coach Aires Padda benched the three stars of the team since they did not practice the whole week due to various reasons. She opted to use the players who practiced, as of course, appreciation for their efforts.

    how about PEDs?

testosterone, clenbuterol, etc. was he tested for that?

hindi lang naman marijuana, cocaine, shabu, etc ang prohibited drugs.

Well ricci came out with a detailed statement.
The ball is in lasalle's hand to prove otherwise.

"Illegal substance" is broad as what you've said. However, who is lasalle protecting? The brothers reputation or themselves with coming out with a vague statement.

We are just mere spectators relying on the official statements and circustances and we can just come up with different conclusions using those.

The situation just so happen to coincide with the gilas issue. After lasalle released ricci, he now then can practice with gilas?

Aside from the denial of rivero re the drugs allegations, what struck me also was the tone of the letter. It seems that rivero is now saying goodbye to dlsu. I guess the high flying kid is now set to move
