With regards to the way he dribbles, he got the best handle daw when the NBA did one of their promo tours in the country. Did you guys missed the dribble he did on Dela Paz of DLSU for the corner three that put the game into ot. Killer crossover with Dela Paz not knowing where he went.
It can't be denied that he's a ballhog, but the kid got talent, pure talent. Talent that is not honed in those basketball camps.

Magaling talaga si romeo, malikot din sa court kaya mahirap ma-check ang laro. Daming moves at gaya nang sabi, top notch ang ball handling skills.

if i were to choose between romeo and super sumang, i'd rather have the latter on my team. this kid can practically will his squad to a win w/ his leadership, passing, shooting, and ball hawking skills. after seeing him play yesterday, i'm now a fan. he definitely reminds me of a younger but brasher version of la tenorio

unfortunately, i don't believe the ue warriors will keep up their current mercurial type of game. sumang can't do it alone in the long run especially deep into the intensity filled 2nd round. it'll be just too mentally and too physically exhausting for those young upstarts. kahapon nga saklay tuhod na sila bago matapos ang laro, paano pa kaya pag dating ng desperation time sa uaap.

Bad trip nga at nag hang yung online streaming nung last 18 seconds ng UE-UST game. Napagod masyado si Abdul and that really gave Sumang the leeway to drive in at will. I agree on your observation though, that other UE players have to step up to keep their momentum going. Parang Ateneo lang yan when Larry Fonacier got his ACL, L.A. Tenorio was good to carry the team for a few games but then, his limitations kicked in too.

Romeo may have the talent but if he doesn't play as a PG (meaning orchestrating the plays and creating opportunities for his teammates), sayang lang.

This is another hard game for Ateneo... especially with UST coming off two straight losses (Ateneo and UE), and they have a good week to prepare.

malas lang ust, mariano reinjured that glass ankle of his. he wasn't able to finish yesterday's game because of that.

si jeric naman daw, hindi pa makatira sa labas. i just don't know how healthy he will be next week

on the loyola heights side, i think ravena's timing is still a bit off. ang daming sablay na FTs kahapon - apektado pa din siguro ang pulso niya hehe. the good thing is he's able to elevate nowadays. hopefully, the raven (as he was known in high school) and the rest of the team will peak at the right time.

Kung wala si Mariano at Teng, good for us and bad news for UST nga. Anyway kasama sa laro yan, tignan mo na lang umpisa natin nung wala si Ravena. But it seems makakalaro kasi siya but obviously in limited capacity.

Off pa talaga si Ravena, 2 busted lay-ups na kayang-kaya sana tapos free throws nga hirap pa. But yung perimeter defense niya at passing is there na. Yung aggressive defense lang sa penetration yung medyo alanan pa din galaw niya imho.

Pero UST can never be discounted esp na si Pido pa coach, nakakahawa never say die attitude nang Brgy. Ginebra eh. hehe

^ nope. nag-rerecruit din sila sa ng players galing sa ibang schools.

si asilum ang best recruit nila recently. he was a national team player when he was still studying high school in sacred heart school - ateneo de cebu.

speaking of recruitment, upis has been actively poaching basketball playing varsity kids from the ateneo grade school lately w/ enticing academic scholarships w/c the ags do not provide

dapat pala inantay na lang ni mikee reyes umalis si coach ricky dandan sa up mbt bago siya nag-alsa balutan.

sayang naman iyong last year of playing eligilibility niya
