A TWITTER war erupted between Far Eastern University star Terrence Romeo and former Ateneo star Nico Salva just minutes after the Tamaraws suffered their first loss of the UAAP season at the hands of National University.

Salva took a dig at Romeo after the season's leading MVP contender finished with only eight points on 3-of-16 shooting in the 58-59 loss, taking a dig at the FEU star's tendency to be individualistic on the floor.

The former Eagles star tweeted on his account *nicobesalva: "Romeo is back to his old self. Why dont u just give the ball to RR?" referring to Romeo's teammate RR Garcia.

Romeo fired back via his Twitter account *dReaLTRomeo, saying: “bat di ikaw ang maglaro.”

The PBA-bound Salva, who has played out his eligibility with Ateneo, replied: “naka limang taon na ako bro e. sorry. Tuloy mo lang yan. Ayos yan haha.”

Romeo, though, wasn't done. He tweeted: “hilig mo makasali e noh? Paki alam nalang yung game mo. Hindi naman kita pinapakialam e. bro???”

After a lull, Romeo appeared to have calmed down as he posted a tweet asking for support from the FEU community following the loss.

“Positive lang muna. Negative lusot lang sa kabilang tenga. Thanks parin sa feu community at sa mga sumoporta sa feu tamaraws,” Romeo wrote.

Salva had a previous history with FEU. A near melee ensued between him and former FEU assistant coach Ronald Magtulis during last season’s UAAP wars that led to a coliseum ban on Salva’s father.

Garcia is also a teammate of Salva with NLEX in the PBA D-League.

Ganyan siya dati... this season lang nag-ayos (and hence the results were good: his MVP stats are up and FEU swept the first round). Mukhang nag-regress siya sa game kahapon. Bad for FEU, good for everyone else if he keeps it up.

Tama naman sinabi ni Salva, RR Garcia was doing well yesterday and if Romeo had the smarts, he would have just passed the ball more given he had a bad shooting day (which happens really). That's one spot where Ryan Buenafe does well; kahit panget yugn shooting niya sa isang game, he'll try to contribute by creating opportunities for his team mates.
