Here's an excerpt from one of the old articles in T-Nation... About common fat loss failure reasons. Number one was..

    1) Relying Too Much on Thermogenics

All too often, thermogenics (fat burners) are used as a crutch for poor food choices. Quality thermogenics work, but they can't make up for a poor diet.

Have you ever seen anyone pop a couple of fat burners right before sitting down to an all-you-can-eat buffet, or even follow a breakfast of cream filled cupcakes and a soda with a fistful of some caffeine/ephedrine product? This methodology never works out; the world’s best supplements will do nothing for you if you don't take the time to get your own house in order first.

While well intentioned, fat burners, in my opinion, have taken a turn for the worst. Slick marketing, half-truths, and an overall media blitz depicting "easy" or "quick" results using these products has mislead many an individual into thinking that a pill can pay penance for their past and/or current dieting sins. Hey, if it were that easy then all of America would be lean and chiseled, yet we all know obesity is at an all time high.

The primary purpose of thermogenic agents was never to make up for a crappy diet, but rather to enhance fat burning of an individual who had everything else already dialed in. Anyone who thinks differently will no doubt be disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, fat burners definitely have their place, especially as a pick-me-up for those grueling leg training days, for mental enhancement before athletic competitions, and for cutting that last ounce of fat off your love handles when dieting alone can't do the trick. But they aren't magic.

Do yourself a favor: save the fat burners for when you're willing to put in the effort and have the discipline to control your food intake rather than to have your food intake control you. After you accomplish this step you'll be amazed at how well thermogenics can work for getting you closer to your personal best.

do any of these fat burners work on those flabs, cellulite, yung yellow part under the skin na nasisipsip pag nagpa-lipo?

anyway, after reading a lot about proper bodybuilding, which includes tsikot's threads (sep-sep :D ), i decided to invest on these 2 supplements:

ON 100% EGG protein choco & ON 2222 amino acid tabs.

tanong ko lang kung kelangan ko pa bang lagyan nang dextrose yung pre/post workout drink? dex + protein powder or dex + creat + protein powder? please correct me if i'm wrong.. sa pagkakaintindi ko ksi mas mabilis ang absorption sa muscles pag hinaluan nang dex?

so far naman ok ang effect sa'kin with just plain water + protein powder. minsan nga na t-tempt akong papakin na lang eh.

King: Suggestion / Quesion: Why egg protein? Mas ok ang whey kasi kumpleto sya (meaning complete in all essential amino acids), easier absorbsion as well and it's pretty much a standard.

If you get whey, you dont need BCCAs as much, L-Glutamine nalang kunin mo.

For POW, preferably yes, but worse case scenario, just use some sugar. You need the sugar to spike the insulin post workout. Creatine will help, but whey will be more important.

It's extremely important to take 1-1.5g of Vit C post workout as well. That's probably THE MOST important supplement for ANY athelete.

Re your fat burner question, fat is fat. It doesn't matter where it is situated.

Kaya ang halo ng POW ko is Powder Gatorade. AFAIK, liquid gatorade does not have Dextrose. Saka Im taking CGT-10 which has dextrose in it.

theveed, anong Vit-C ang gamit mo? binigay ko na lang sa co-worker ko ang Cookies n Cream ON Whey, hindi ko talaga masikmura.

It would be great if vitamin C alone were the cure all pill we needed to fight every disorder... but the truth is that vitamin C interacts with thousands of other nutrients to carry out it's healing functions. For example, in order for large doses of vitamin C to be effective in preventing a cold it must first interact with large doses of vitamin B6, vitamin B12, zinc, folic acid, and choline. Remember one nutrient never acts all by itself - it is the complex interaction of many nutrients that allows your body to work most effectively to maintain optimum health. That's why taking a daily multi-vitamin, multi-mineral packet is also a very good idea.
So, make sure the Vit-C that you are taking has the vitamin B6, vitamin B12, zinc, folic acid, and choline in it so you dont have to swallow different types of pill.

Fortunately, I take AST 32X Multi-Pro first thing in the morning and before bed time.
