it's part of casino rules that other players can bet on the side, pero maximum 3 places lang in most casinos. in other words you can not put more than 3 bets per play. di pwede tumanggi yung seated player na may mag-side bet sa kanya. pero syempre naman pag nakita mo na natatalo yung sineswerte pag naki-side bet ka e itigil mo naman din, unwritten rule yun sa casino. una, wag mo idamay sa malas. secondly, baka magalit sa iyo. ligo ka muna tapos balik ka ehehehehe!

most casinos have 3 circles in front of every seated player, numbered 1, 2, 3. yung seated player sa 1, side bets (standing players) sa 2 and 3. there is a maximum total bet per circle. priority sa bayad yung 1. the bank has only so much money that is on play, di lahat ng nasa tray is active bet ng bank. so pag naubos yung bet ng bank, kahit may pera pa sa tray, e di nababayaran lahat. also, casinos allow patrons to play bank (not all, depende sa management). so for example the player "bank" only puts 5k on the table, only that 5k is at play. pag natalo yung bank at yung bet ng ibang players ay more than the bank's bet of 5k e hindi nababayaran lahat.

Kapitbahay namin may business dati, nabalitaan na lang namin na mahilig mag casino pala yung asawa, yun medyo nalubog yata sa utang, nalugi na yata sa business, binenta na rin yung isa nilang kotse. Yung mister naman nagka health problem kaya kawawa naman...

Yung tito ko dati nagwowork sa isang company na gumagawa ng seat covers para sa car, yung asawa ng mayari mahilig rin magcasino, nagsarado tuloy yung business...

Tita ko mahilig rin mag casino, pero mayaman naman sya at nde masyado malalaki yung nilalaro. Wala naman syang naging problems dahil sa pag-casino.

hehehe...there's a hard rock casino on the florida turnpike here. a few miles down the road there's a giant billboard that says "do you have a gambling problem? call gamber's anonymous at 1-800-xxx-xxxx"

pag nalulong ka talaga jan, mauubos kabuhayan mo. i knew someone na nagpakamatay (thru a self-made accident), just to get insurance money to recover their house from creditors and to have something extra.. ang masakit pa, yung asawa nya ang cause ng mga utang but sya ang nagsakripisyo para sa kanyang pamilya..

kaya kung balak nyo mag-casino, kelangan ng matinding disiplina. make sure na mayron kayong cash limit na pwede matalo and stick to it..

tama ka dyan kafatid odds of playing in a casino always favor the house di naman nila siguro itatayo ang mga casino para lang manalo ang kung sinong pumasok,kung palagi kang panalo e di sana walang las vegas ngayon,wala din akong trabaho.

the most i've lost in a single night was 1k on the slots. hati hati na kami ni ermats n my sis dun :D

most of the (dunno what they're called technically, will call them) games are rigged in favor of the house. di ba ung roulette, you can either bet black or red, tapos me two slots wherein nobody wins? that makes the odds roughly 50-50, pero slightly biased towards the house.

i read this article a few years back. the times which logged the heaviest withdrawals from atms was from 12 - 2pm. guess what those withdrawals were for ;)

My brother used to work at PAGCOR long time ago, panahon pa ng floating casino, he have a lot of those type of stories.

But one thing that I remember most is the one about a local chinese millionare (well now a former millionare) who used to own a hotel and because of heavy loses in the casino was forced to sell his hotel.

That hotel ended up in the hands of one of Marcos's cronies and my father ended up working in that hotel upto the mid 80's just right before Marcos was thrown out.
