USA team nowadays is not a DREAM TEAM.

dapat gawin agreement ng USA with NBA...kung sino manalo sa NBA ALL STAR GAME sya ilalaban sa mga international games.

    motions,

sa USA isa lang ang play nila

Results of the 1992 Men's Tournament of the Americas:
    USA 136 Cuba 57
    USA 105 Canada 61
    USA 112 Panama 52
    USA 128 Argentina 87
    USA 119 Puerto Rico 81
    USA 127 Venezuela 80

Results at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona:
USA 111 France 71 (Pre-Olympics in Monte Carlo, Monaco)
    USA 116 Angola 48
    USA 103 Croatia 70
    USA 111 Germany 68
    USA 127 Brazil 83
    USA 122 Spain 81
    USA 115 Puerto Rico 77
    USA 127 Lithuania 76
    USA 117 Croatia 85

Subsequent United States teams have had the "Dream Team" moniker attached, but they now typically feature middle-of-the-road NBA players, rather than an all-star team of the game's greats. This has led to increasingly less extraordinary performances (nearly losing to Lithuania at the 2000 Sydney Games, and being embarrassed into sixth place at the 2002 World Championships), so many regard such a moniker as no longer appropriate.

there's a lot of anger in the US at these prima donna 'stars' who won't play for their country. sure, it's their right to refuse, and i know that they would be risking injury - but still, there's a lot of disappointment in these guys who many people look up to as heroes.

of course, some of them have valid excuses like injury (Kidd) or legal entanglements (Kobe), but what's Shaq's excuse? KG's? T-Mac? i can go on...

btw, that 1992 US men's basketball team in the Barcelona olympics is, in many people's opinion (including my own), the best team in the history of team sports

    boo-hoo! security purposes my arse!

di ba jordan had the luxury of walking at barcelona's town proper early in the morning.

also mas nightmare-ish yata for any security
kung ang binabantayan mo si jordan/magic w/ HIV/bird, barkley

for Tmac alam niya na mahihirapan ang USA ngayon Olympics,

Shaq??? contract extension period, he will play if USA will pay him 30M

Vince? Kailangan tip top shape siya sa honeymoon niya.

    KG? RIP? BIGBEN? declined.

why is michael redd not in the roster, kailangan nila ng perimeter shooters

yeah, i heard that - but that excuse just doesn't fly. with the security they have there, it's far more likely that they die in a car accident at home than get killed by terrorists.

and what message are they sending? that the terrorists run their lives? how about the 20 million new yorkers who live every day knowing they live in the #1 terrorist target in the world...

Di rin excuse yung pagod... yao plays the whole year... hehe center pa sya!

Confirmed, the Hawks acquired Antoine Walker and Tony Delk in exchange for Jason Terry and Alan Henderson.

Good move for the Mavs. They badly needed a PG after Nash's departure. Despite being a natural SG, Terry is the perfect fit and been orchestrating the Hawks offense for the past seasons. Also they were able to ship out Antoine Walker. Nowitzki will slip to starting PF and probably Laettner or Booth at starting center.

As for the hawks, they badly needed a player like walker who can be their take charge guy since most of their players are very much role players only. Delk can get the minutes he wants here at PG.

btw, Sixers trade (C/F) D. Coleman and (C) A. McCaskill for (F) Corliss Pistons Williamson.

gosh more big men for Detroit.

    :whoa:

The Mavs have a glut in the shooting guard (Michael Finley, Jerry Stackhouse, Tariq Abdul Wahad) and point guard (Devin Harris, Jason Terry, Marquis Daniels) slot, and as usual no big men, and not enough role players. I don't see the point of this trade unless they make another deal (possibly for Kidd or Dampier) cuz Jason Terry and 2 years left in his deal and Alan Henderson is oft-injured.

True... but if they need this much effort to beat Germany, which didn't qualify, and got spanked by a bunch of Italians. Imagine what would happen if they faced Argentina, Serbia & Montenegro, Spain, Lithuania. Unless they find a way to play together instead as individuals, we might see a repeat performance of the 2002 world basketball championships.

The only advantage Team USA has is its superior athleticism, which isnt enough in international play, where teams can simple pack it in. And without a pure shooter, Banger/Efforcer type Big Man, and a pure point, the Americans are in trouble.

"dapat gawin agreement ng USA with NBA...kung sino manalo sa NBA ALL STAR GAME sya ilalaban sa mga international games."

kaya nga vulnerable na ang USA team ngayon, puro stars ang pinadadala. they need role players who will do the dirty work and provide the spark off the bench.
