i think KG should get the MVP this season. what a turn around the celtics had made! well come to think of it, lakers din had a great season because of kobe. i think its a neck and neck fight between the 2.

chris paul galing talaga pero parang hindi pa "hinog" IMO.

I, for one am tired of the claims that KG doesn't deserve it coz he has 2 all stars playing with him...

Uhm... Kobe has Lamar/Gasol/Bynum... CP3 has DWest, Chandler, and Peja... Amare has 2-time MVP Nash and 4-time champion Shaq... Duncan has Manu and Eva...

No MVP will be complete without dominant supporting stars... If "solo act" is counted, I don't think anyone could touch The King, then...

magiging factor sa MVP race is yung ang tagal ng walang MVP si kobe. a lot of people are thinking that it's his time. Garnett already has one and CP3 is still young and a lot of playing years to come.

but stats alone, it should be LBJ.

it should either be kobe or LBJ. para s'kin, silang dalawa ang most deserving. their respective teams will not be in their current position pg sila ang hindi nakapaglaro...

CP3 is earning quite a bit of MVP votes tonight with his complete domination of the Mavs :king:

two great games already done - Lebron got Deshawn and Gilbert back for their trash talking by letting his game speak for itself, and the Suns as usual can't get a defensive stop when they really need it (i :rofl01: 'ed when Tony Parker ball faked Steve Nash into next week...Nash had already run halfway to his own bench when he realized that Parker kept the ball)

next up: TMac vs Deron!

+1,000,000 dito. thats why its a team sport. the MVP, IMO, is the player that leads his team to victories and is always willing to sacrifice stats for the "W". thats what KG did for the celtics.

kobe is near "unstoppable" on one-on-one but still hugs the ball to much IMO.

Is Duncan still the best PF in the NBA and the undisputed captain of the team? No doubt... hehe

i don't think the celtics would been as successfull this season kung si kg lang ang dumating and not together with ray allen. . .kg is not even the highest scorer in the team. . .you've got the big 3 in celtics who went out and played almost every game. . .while for the lakers, the only constant companion for kobe this season was odom (14 ppg). . .just when everybody recognized bynum's presence and contribution, he got injured. . .for gasol, memphis benefitted more than half of his stats this season. . .which means a big chunk of lakers' regular season (so far. . .hehhe) success this season can be attributed to kobe's efforts/performance. . .he played all 82 games; in some of those games, his fingers were bound together because of an injury. . .now, if we talk about kg's intangible contributions to the celtics team, i think kobe did more in that department for the lakers for some reasons already mentioned above. . .

kobe is the rightful mvp this season. . .not because he could have been robbed of it previously, or it's a life-time achievement award ala karl malone (what were they thinking back then?. . .they even gave him 2 over mj!) or cp3 is still hilaw. . .kobe just simply deserves it this year

yup KG was not the highest scorer in the team but come to think of it, he is the reason for leading the celtics for the great season run. even steve nash when he got the NVP award, he was to top scorer of the team, yet he lead the team to wins and hes leadership was undisputed.

IMO, the MVP should be the leader of the team, not necessarily the highest scorer... the contributions that KG made for the celtics can not be compromised.

though kobe bryant is a great player, he still hugs the ball too much IMO (as ive said in my previous post)

i'm not negating kg's contribution to the celtics this year but it's easier with allen and pierce with you. . .what i'm saying is, kobe, playing with less marquee players the bigger portion of the season, bore the heavier burden. . .let's not overlook that

i don't dislike kg, but in my opinion, mvpwise, cp3 ranks higher than kg this season. . .

kobe hogging the ball too much?. . .he has a team-leading more than 5 apg and he's not even a point guard!. . .with a player of that level of ability, who would you rather have the ball esp at crunch time?. . .actually, when you have another reliable player in the team, like during the time when shaq was with the lakers, we see less kobe-centered plays. . .

thats true that kobe is their main guy esp when it comes to crunch time. kaya lang for me, mas gusto ko manalo MVP si KG because he has the leadership skills that the celtics are hungry for before. si paul pierce, oo magaling but he does not have the leadership skills that the celtics need.

true, kobe is a very worthy contender for the MVP run... thats why i said... its neck and neck race for both of them.

yep kobe might have like 5apg but still, most of the time, he passes the ball when his in a tight situation already... kaya pabor pa din ako kay KG, though his stats are not as high as before, but he understands that he is not the only option of the team...

i beg to differ that cp3 is in front of KG, he might be on the MVP run pero not a solid contender IMO. hindi pa "hinog" si cp3.

talagang hindi ko makukuha boto mo ha, arch. . .hehhe

hindi ba unfair to say na hindi pa hinog kaya undeserving for an mvp award si cp3?. . .there have been 2 occasions in nba history where the roty was also voted the mvp (unseld and chamberlain). . .

what a game by gasol. . .ang galing!

hehehe... i dont like kobe as a team player but damn! i respect his game!

well for cp3, oo magaling nga talaga siya pero parang madami pa kakaining bigas bago maging true MVP status siya IMO.

baka kasi fluke lang yung season na to... (no offense to cp3 fans)

If KG moved to Boston in the summer of 2006 and today is April 2007, and it should follow that the Lakers are 9th or so in the west and is pondering what to do in spring, then by all means....KG should be MVP.

Watch the games and see for yourself that the Celts are not the only "transformed" team today. Sacrificing stats for the "W"? This is why Lebron is the scoring leader and only has 45 wins for his team. Maybe you'll have a clue who hugs the ball too much these days.

mvp is a season award and not a lifetime achievement award, bro. . .yan ang problema kung bakit nagkaroon si karl malone. . .hehhe

    number of mvp awards

    nasa record books:
    kareem: 6 mvp's
    jordan: 5
    .
    .
    .
    karl malone: 2

    mas appropriate:
    jordan: 7 mvp's
    kareem: 6
    .
    .
    karl malone: 0

    hehhe. . .

    peace
