F the Spurs....i love that they are getting sucked into this controversy. it is their dirty play and their whining that is making the NBA almost unwatchable these days...and the most frustrating part is that their strategy WORKS! they get the calls from the refs, and they win titles.

i watched that video - in fairness, it wasn't just Donaghy blowing calls left and right...the whole crew sucked. and some of the calls were correct (like the offensive foul-knee to groin from Bowen to Nash), or at least debatable.

the problem as i see it is not just one crooked ref. it is bigger than that. it is a bunch of refs who suck at their jobs, and whose boss (David Stern) does not hold them accountable for their performance (until very recently). it is also weak officials that give into whiny Spurs players, coaches who play mind games (hi Phil!) and raucous home crowds and call it the way they want them to.

One thing I dislike about Stern is how he treats players as kids and the officials as "seniors-that-can-do-no-wrong"...

Bawi dapat title ng Spurs and rematch ng Spurs-Suns, then kung sino nanalo bigay yung trophy dun kasi pointless din naman Cleveland )

Heat agrees to terms with guard Smush Parker

The Heat turned to Parker after unsuccessful earlier attempts to acquire Mo Williams, who re-signed with Milwaukee, and Steve Francis, who joined Houston. Miami also spoke with free-agent point guards Steve Blake (who signed with Portland), Jason Hart (Utah) and Jannero Pargo (who's still unsigned). Other point guards still unsigned include Brevin Knight and Earl Boykins.

During the past week, the Heat also has been unable to pull off a trade for Houston's Rafer Alston (the Rockets were believed to want more than center Michael Doleac) or FC Barcelona combo guard Juan Carlos Navarro, whose rights are owned by the Washington Wizards. The Wizards have shown no interest in accepting a draft pick from the Heat for Navarro.

It's looking more and more as though Kevin Garnett is heading to Boston.

According to multiple sources close to the situation, Danny Ainge and the Celtics have agreed in principal to a deal that would bring the 10-time NBA All-Star from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff and his expiring contract, Gerald Green and Sebastian Telfair.

FOXSports.com was unable to confirm whether Celtics forward Ryan Gomes and a future first-round pick was involved.
