sabi na nga ba e PAT RILEY back as Heat's head coach.
kunyari pa nung una e, talaga namang gusto na niyang sibakin si Stan, dahil loaded na loaded ang lineup ng Heat sa ngayon.

December 13th, 2005 03:29 PM #3943well ILD somehow wade/jwill/payton will look at riley first for plays instead of a run and gun screw the play attitude before in SVG's reign.
also top player shaq oneal only answers to TOP DOGS and riley is TOP DOG.
Jabbar, Ewing, Oneal...riley's recipe... a dominanting man in the middle...stats galore kay shaq woohoo...
(somehow nabasa ko ang mga ito not sure if espn or yahoo sports)

the big question is, will Riley ride on Shaq too much... we all know how fragile Shaq is with all his injuries. Remember what happened to the Lakers when Pat Riley had 2 a day practices... injuries to Byron Scott and Magic Johnson, it also cut short James Worthy's carreer.
IMO Shaq will probobly play around 25-30 mins a game to preserve his health for the playoff run.

i think Riley does a good job of adjusting his game plan to his personnel. right now he knows he has a rare playmaking talent in Dwayne Wade and of course the dominating inside force of Shaq...much like his days with the Lakers.
Wade is different from Magic in that he's a more dynamic scorer but his playmaking abilities are all off the drive-and-dish...very simple but no one can stop it. Riley will put the ball in his hands, let him create the offense with either the 1-2 punch with Shaq, or passing it out to 3 shooters who will usually have 2 men guarding them because of the double-teams both he and Shaq command.
i don't expect Riles to change too much because he already knows the strengths of the team - he should, because he put it together

IMO, Shaq will get more touches and more shots cuz thats Riley's philisophy ever since. The question is will Shaq hold up. Dwayne Wade will likely have his shot attempts reduced but his assist numbers will likely increase. The Heat will go inside out more often. An Antoine Walker? well lets see how many bricks he'll lay before being yanked out. Riley will have an 8-man rotation from here on in.

They will run ang gun less that's for sure, that'll translate to lower TO but lower PTS total as well.
This will preserve Shaq/Zo's health a bit longer than their current gameplan...
Toine will end up being a Larry Johnson, a PF that sits out to wait for bail-out 3s hehe

Don't forget about Riley's grueling practices... which may not sit well with Shaq Zo and Wade.
