so, who are your early season surprises? good or bad? teams or players?
for me, the early season surprises are:
the clippers and warriors
the suns - thought they would be dead without JJ/Q/Amare
paul pierce
elton brand
marcus camby
chris paul
gerald wallace
ricky davis
peste, puro player ni theveed sa fantasy yan ah :seeth:
:hihihi:
disappointments are:
the heat, but i saw that coming. trade for garbage like antoine walker, mess up your chemistry, and lose shaq for a long period of time...no surprise i guess
joe johnson
kobe and the lakers - jerry buss can save a lot of money by waiving the other 11 players, and playing kobe with 4 lifesize cardboard cutouts and get the same result

Surprises:
1. Well, its a couple of guys named West...Delonte and David. Delonte is doing very well as the C's starting PG. While David West is making everyone forget about Jamal Magloire with his inside presence.
2. The most booed rookie pick, Charlie Villanueva who shut up his critics with his heads up play in Toronto.
3. Shane Battier?!? Last year, he did things that don't fill up the stat sheets but makes his team better. Now, he does the same things but with scoring contribution (without plays being called for him at that).
4. TJ Ford...who I thought wouldn't be able to return to the NBA. But, look now, he's the Bucks leader in assists.
5. Honorable Mentions: Channing Frye, Chris Paul, D. Miles (before the injury), and...Ron Artest keeping his cool (looks like off-season anger management therapy worked)
Dissapointments:
1. Al Jefferson - looked ready to step into Antoine Walker's shoes last year. But his inconsistent play has earned him plenty of minutes at the bench.
2. Emeka Okafor - what happened to last year's ROY? Sophomore jinx?
3. TMAC - He can't carry Houston on his back because he's a hurtin.
4. SHAQ - Miami needs the Big Diesel back on track even if 'Zo is doing a yeoman's job as the Heat's starting C.
5. Larry Brown - looks disinterested with the lineup he has in NY. C'mon. You've had worse in Clipperland and in Indiana. At least show some effort when you're coaching on national TV.

December 7th, 2005 10:09 AM #3920i wouldn't count the heat out just yet. come playoff they are still a very dangerous opponent. they can beat detroit, indiana, sixers on any given day, specially when the diesel is back.
Thread was made nung 2018 pa po sir.
