A set will cost you 5-6K here. Don't know about the pricing there. Shimano shifters? What model? Deore will cost you 1.2K a set of shifters, just roughly guessing.

JJCarEnthusiast, BB7s are great mechanical disc brakes. If you pair it with Avid's SD7 levers, it would feel almost like hydraulic disc brakes.

ultimate discbrake na ata yan eh for sure sulit yan hehe, pero hinde ko pa sya na try sa bike ko ang AVID, nilalaspag ko pa ung akin

*boybi ok naman , walang bago, pero naiiba ng hilig meron, baka kasi mag palit na ako ng bike discipline from XC to freeride.kaya nag ask ako kung how much yung brand new ng shawn-H3 kse may bebenta sakin 2nd hand 16.5k...kung medyo mahal tatawaran ko pa.

Ang tinatanong mo pala is a hard tail frame with shimano components and disc brakes

For entry level frame and components, expect to shell out around 40K.

that's a single pivot horst link bike. medyo bouncy yan if you mash the pedals too hard. just a suggestion, stay away from mall bikeshops mapapamahal kayo dun, better go to cartimar at leveriza st. check with ross cycle, you can build around 10k to 15k trail worthy mtbike. kung 15k baka nakadisk brake kana

*boybi, hehe tinatakot mo naman si jjcarenthusiast sa price mo. for 40k you can get a very good hardtail na or a full susp bike with entry level parts. 15k to 18k naka deore 9speed groupset kana w diskbrakes and suntour fork

*iskulbukul, that's the problem if you shift to a diff discipline, mas mapapagastos ka talaga, that's why i always suggest getting a trail bike for beginners and not something too xc'ish or fr'ish tapos in the end di pala yun gusto nila, i learned it the hard way. from xc to dh tapos roadbike. kaya ayun 3 tuloy bike ko

anyway i love riding technical trails as much as doing epic rides kaya ok lang
