Ask ko lang, ang mga wireless na cyclo computers ba hindi talaga automatic na mag turn ON once the wheel turns? Bumili kasi ako ng Topeak na wireless, pag nakalimutan kong i-press yung button, hindi sya mag-ON, so hindi na na-log yung distance travelled ko.

Guys theres a Mountain bike track in taguig which we can go to even at night. We might try it next week over a weekday night or something.

Bukas sana kaya lang nalipat ng sta rosa may kasama kami newbie. hehehehe

there's an MTB track, with jumps, water traps, cross, uphill and downhill sections inside the complex of the Municpal Government of Taguig near SM Bicutan 10 - 15 minutes from Makati and Alabang. They charge P100 to ride but we are negotiating to bring it down to P50 (just offer P50). Night rides are possible as the track has halogen lights in some areas (P100 na siguro kung night ride). Each lap is more than 1KM and there are beginner, intermediate and advanced portions. This is a real MTB track. See pic link below. This is a project of Mayor Freddy Tiñga. The 1st MTB Taguig Cup was held here last Sunday June 17, 2007 with riders from Padyak Pinoy, Bacolod, Dan's Bike Shop, and Philippine Cycling Team gracing the event.

There is a club house near the entrance of the track with a CR and some lounges - you can buy softdrinks there. Please bring your friends to this track and support this project before the government decides to use this for another development.

Please remember rider courtesy when you use this track:

    1) stay clear of the path if you want to rest so as not to break other rider's momentum and to avoid accidents

    2) make sure there are no riders entering or exiting the landing areas if you want to jump your bike

    3) if someone crashes, help them stay clear from the path so no one else crashes into them and warn oncoming bikers

    4) do not litter in this track

    5) do not urinate in this track there is a CR in the club house

    6) riders in the process of going up certain narrow paths should be given priority to finish the climb or critical turn before you charge the downhill portion of the same narrow path or turn.

    7) make sure you are not blocking anyone's path, especially those doing laps, if you are practicing in one area. You are, however, encouraged to do laps (counter clockwise) as this is a lap course.

    8) take out big rocks and other hazards that can trip or hurt other bikers.

    9) warn other riders of hazards in the area

    10) In case of heavy attendance with bikers working out in reverse or standard track, try to ride on your RIGHT SIDE so bikers doing the reverse track can take the other side of the track. BEST TO RIDE THE TRACK COUNTER CLOCKWISE for a good workout (face the course with your back against the clubhouse for better orientation). For an easy heart attack, knee cap replacement and ligament surgery, try the reverse track - just remember, i warned you ;D

We cant bike there during motocross practice and races. Best to call Taguig municipality for a schedule before you go. Nice to head out there before or after work. So near. Unfortunately the flood lights don't cover the entire track for night rides, just portions. I guess if more riders show up for evening rides, the municipal government might add more lights.

I look forward to doing a mud ride on this track - should be fun.

    Directions:

    From Makati:

Take SLEX and exit at Bicutan - turn left and go over the overpass going to Taguig past the market - keep on going straight until you see the Municipal government of Taguig - Turn left to enter the Taguig Municipality - go straight until you see the track - park near the club house.

    From Alabang:

Take SLEX and exit at Bicutan - turn right from the Taguig market going to Taguig - keep on going straight until you see the Municipal government of Taguig - Turn left to enter the Taguig Municipality - go straight until you see the track - park near the club house.

Cheers to Mayor Freddy Tiñga to keep his community into sports and away from drugs!

Try to finish 10 laps in 30 minutes. Hope you can post your Taguig ride, crash and blooper pics here. Good luck. Ride safe!

mr cheapo is back.... i bought some generic aluminum hubs in a bike store in davao... aluminum silver ang kulay and can accomodate disk brakes... cost P895 (set na for front and back).... plan to paint it black to fit my bikes motiff before replacing my anodized yellow bmx hubs.

i also got an anodized yellow aluminum pedals... cost P185.

black plastic telescopic bike tire pump with pressure gauge... cost P325.

kulang na lang ako ng water holder, spare tire tube, plastic fenders (kontra putik) and "portable" bike tools... and I'm off to the mountains....
