    LW: Taylormade
Putter: Odyssey 2 ball, that i had custom fitted so that its a belly putter

😃 the transition is really difficult because you're handsy in tennis. in golf, you use your big muscles...

Wow, single handicapper. Congrats sir! I've been playing much longer than you but i'm still way too far from your handicap. I guess after all the long uears of playing, i've never been serious in the game, as in laro na nilalaro pa. I keep on experimenting shots/swings clubs and what ever i can think of and never go to driving range to practice, fairway is where i practice kaya always an experiment. I love the game, i love going places just for the game and the perks that goes along with the game.

Baliktad tayo sir, i used to play tennis before i switch to golf. The problem with tennis for me, dapat ka-match ko lagi kalaro. Pag bano, mabwibwisit ka lang, pag magaling naman, nakakapagod. Sa bwisit ko, i broke 3 graphite rackets then after which i immediately bought 4 brand new only to hang them up in lieu of golf.

    Sayang! Akin na lang...

When I tried golf medyo nakukuha ko na yung tamang swing, yung power from the legs to the hips then to the arms.
That was when I realized na di biro mag golf nakakatakot din pala at pwede ka talaga ma-injured. When the time comes siguro I'll give it a shot again.

Dad enrolled me in golf lesson before, only attended 1 session and didn't return, that was back in HS when the only sports I know is basketball. Found golf boring and never really got the hang of it.

Used to play from Grade School until the early college years. I was inconsistent as it was on and off since i played a lot during Christmas and summer breaks but it would get cut when i went back to school. My tall and slim frame gave me a good arc for the distance but my mental game was pretty bad due to lack of patience and focus.

My set is still at home and worked when i tried going to the driving range in Kagitingan a year or two ago (I was surprised the grips still held up). These are all 90's era Daiwa irons and Taylor Made woods. Back then i would play in the old Capitol Hills course (i learned the game at the driving range there), and at Tagaytay Highlands. Occasionally i'd get to play in Baguio also and when we traveled abroad, we'd all bring our clubs also since the whole family was into the game. I like the sport but now, it's not within my means nor do i have the time to really enjoy it.

when i started out i played at least three times a week, and hit the driving range the rest of the week and I had a pro who tweaked my swing every now and then. but that was then. when i got my first trophy i suddenly lost enthusiasm to play. I quit for two years. now I'm back at it again. last Saturday I joined a tournament and they gave me a 19. I did not fare well. actually it was a shame, not a game. ☺

My peers in the industry, my friends in our area and my relatives, have always invited/encouraged me to take on the sport.

I'd tell them,"I'll think about it,- thanks!"

My real concern is that it will take a whole (weekend) day, being with my family.

    So,- not much "connection there"....

    kailangan seryosohin...hehehehe.
actually, ganyan ako nung naguumpisa ako.... i flood my mind with theories, with techniques... lalong gumugulo.
what i did is to apply my own, kung saan ako comfortable....
like for example, the tendency at the tee is to hit it as hard as you can for distance, but i do the opposite, i hit my shots on a relaxed mode but with closed clubface (ala ernie els style)..... while most of my colleagues hit at around 230 yards at the drive, i only hit around 210 yards using the driver.... however, my strongest part of the game would be my short game (100 yards and below).... na perfect ko na yung accuracy using the wedges (kaya nga may lob wedge ako eh....) so that the ball should lie within 8 feet or less.

my rule in using clubs? no rules.....hehehehehe..... depende sa course.... i dont always use the woods to tee off.... sometimes, i use a 2 iron, a 3 iron, or even a hybrid..... basta ang important sa akin is yung preparation for the next shots.....
