The Philippines received over 1 million more Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines on Friday.

About 813,150 doses of the US-made jabs arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City at 10 p.m., while 101,790 vials were delivered to the Cebu airport.

since viruses can jump from animals to humans, the goal of research is to identify viruses that can cause future pandemics -- to inform governments

so the ultimate goal is for governments to prepare and develop countermeasures

kinda like searching space for planet-killing asteroids that can crash into earth, launch nuclear missiles to destroy the asteroid ala Armageddon

scientists experiment on viruses -- increase their transmissibility and/or virulence (speeding up their evolution) -- called gain of function

that's obviously very risky coz if those viruses escape...

in the olden days, many doctors would willingly cross specialties and treat their patients for illness outside their diploma's realm of expertise.
but times have changed:
1. medical information is so plentiful and complicated nowadays, it is impossible to keep up with all specialties; and
2. the threat of malpractice suits.

the iggy issue is not as what it may appear to be, po. from what i understand, which is decidedly incomplete, medyo complicated yung kaso.

From what my dr friend related (same specialty as Iggy), the case could have been defended & maybe settled out of court. The problem is, he wasn’t attending the hearings all the way to the Appelate court. The complainant btw is a lawyer & the complication is an infection at the suture site. I think it was a knee procedure but not sure.

when the world was blaming china for the virus china tried to shift the blame to the US

calls for china to allow access to virology lab in wuhan, china called for investigation into US fort detrick

china also said the virus was brought to wuhan by US soldiers (in 2019, military games were held in wuhan)

i believe the virus originated in wuhan

there was research being done on bat viruses in wuhan

a US NGO called EcoHealth Alliance was funding research (using grants* from the US government)

it's probably an accidental lab leak

for me the blame shouldn't be entirely on china

the US should partly be blamed coz they were funding it

But I heard the Chinese revealed only 98% of the genomic sequence which is suspicious & for some, validates the theory that it’s lab grown. China was also able to quickly manufacture vax for Covid, hundreds of millions of doses in a few months which makes it also suspicious considering those are not easy to make.

You are only considered fully vaccinated for 4 months if 2 dose vaxxed with SINOVAC...

Does this mean 4 months lang effectivity ng sinovac? I was so close to having no protection when I had covid! My second dose was May 15 and I caught it August 22

I prefer a 3rd dose of sinovac sana over mRNA
