"It's a more traditional way of making vaccines," QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute's Rajiv Khanna said.

Professor Khanna says to make the Novavax vaccine, the genetic sequence of the spike protein in SARS-CoV-2 is used to produce spike protein in cells in the laboratory.

The protein is then collected, concentrated, purified and mixed with other chemicals to make sure the body's immune system mounts a strong response.

Professor Khanna says in his opinion, this approach is the "safest way of making a vaccine".

Similar to the AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines, Novavax also needs two doses.

Apparently, this is another type of technology but a very modern approach. Hope this is also good & safe. More to choose from.
As for the adjuvant, Aluminum based ones are very old tech, one of the first but very dependable. I recall vaccine makers have their own proprietary ones that make immune response better & they mention it in their promo mats. They mentioned that in school I remember.

they use an insect virus called baculovirus containing SARSCOV2 spike gene

they infect moth cells with the baculovirus

the moth cells create the spike protein

the spike proteins are harvested and attached to nanoparticles

those are injected into us

unlike mRNA and adenoviral vector vaccines that prompt our cells to create the spike, Novavax creates the spike in the lab
