April 19th, 2007 09:20 PM #371Hey guys, I'm planning to install good tints for car this weekend, and i need help! Someone told me that it using SOLARGUARD QUANTUM tints would be good for heat deflection and dark color for privacy as well. I did some research on the net, and people have been complaining about one problem with Solarguard tints. They say that there is a "GRAINY" look on the tints. Can anyone using SG tints attest to this and give feedback? Aside from the heat deflectiona and dark color, this GRAIN appearance is the only problem people complain about. Thanks!!

May 1st, 2007 08:27 PM #374Guys, just got the following quotation in Alabang this morning (for a Lancer 95):
Camspeed:
Sunguard - P3,500, super black all windows and rear, medium black front.
SureSeats:
3M - P4,000, super black all windows and rear, medium black front.
*Includes scraping of old tint for both.
Are the prices reasonable? Which of the two should I get?
Also for 3M, do you recommend using magic tint for the windshield instead?

We just had a full-size SUV tinted using Platinum brand films. Magic neutral on the windshield and magic dark on the rest of the windows. Jaffas SRP was about Php4,000 (your haggling skills may vary). Windshield was one piece.
I just noticed that the Platinum magic dark seems to have a similar look with the new 3M Black Chrome films. At least that's how it looked like to me.
The install quality was good also.

Can clear tints help reduce glare from lights of other vehicles at night?

How many stores do you have? Do you have one around san juan?
Ok lang ba double tint? I already have a tint installed but medyo maiint sa backseat, so I plan to overlay another tint there.

9AM to 6PM na sila
Was there last Saturday afternoon. Pumasok kami mga 5:30 para tumingin lang sana. Pero since nagustuhan ni missis ang tint pinatuloy na namin.
Solargard charcoal all around. 8-inch visor lang sa front since ayaw ko full tint. Pulido gumawa pero since mag-isa lang yung installer that time natapos sya around 7:30PM na. One piece rear windshield pa
Observe ko lang kung ok sya the next few days. La naman obvious bubbles.
Not bad for 2900 petot. Highly recommended.

makikisaksak na ako dito sa thread na ito ha?
my car is tinted na superblack sa lahat including front windshield. recently, nahihirapan na akong mag drive sa gabi and am thinking na mukhang dapat papalitan ko na yung front windshield ko to a neutral one.
will it still look good? front windshield is neutral tapos superdark ang windows tsaka rear windshield? o is it better kung ipatungkab ko na lang lahat.... as in no-tints.... definitely kasi, i don't want my visibility affected.
opinions naman.Last edited by 1D4LV; May 18th, 2007 at 03:15 PM.
