falken: but you also reduce the contact patch, causing less grip on the car itself...

out of curiousity and because of very easy access (just outside our village at a yokohama tire center)...i tried filling up my tires with nitro...initial impression is smoother and lighter ride. will yet have to prove if it's purely psychological...will also see impact on fuel consumption. most of the articles i've read talked about improved fuel economy. =)

maganda nga cguro tong nitrogen for tires, sana kumalat lng sa lahat ng gas stations para di hasle pumunta sa selected tire stores na meron n2. right now for me, mas convenient and at ease ako to know na i can have my tires inflated at any gas stations. haha, layo ko kac sa mga stores na meron nyan. sana tlga kumalat sa gas stations yan para nman ma-try ko, unfair tlga samin na malayo ang lugar

my personal experience in using nitrogen in tires.
1. same as odell, ride is smoother, more quieter.
2. three months since last nitrogen load, but tire psi reading is consistent. meaning, no leaks (?), which can also be attributed dahil bago yung tires and tubes ko? when i loaded up on nitro three months ago. pressure was 30 psi. after three months, pressure is 29 psi. no loading or topping with normal compressed air was done. compared to using just compressed air, i usually check and top off my tires every week or everytime i fill up. may discrepancy kaagad na 1 - 1.5 psi every week.
3. gas consumption is really not observed or noted. kung meron man baka sobrang liit to be significant.
4. tire wear is pretty even. but then again. there are several factors like camber, rotation, quality of tires and road conditions.
imho.

Had my tires filled up with nitro recently. Didn't feel any change in the ride, handling & fuel consumption.
A 70/30 water to coolant mix may improve cooling efficiency but that's at the cost of less...
Coolant...
