any pics of the discoloration? and how long has this been on the fender?

getting at the stain ASAP would be good. also, the waxes that you were using don't have any cleaning properties at all.. a dedicated product such as a polish / abrasive would have done a better job IMO..

hope the stain hasn't permanently marred the surface. you're right in deciding to bring it to a pro to have it thoroughly assessed.

they might level the paint to make it even or "pantay" looking again.

dehadista, pag kinunan ko ng camera yung fender eh hindi makita sa picture yung stain nya, yung stain is parang tumulo na sipon hehe..

kaya yan sa paint cleaner / polisher. then top it off with wax. But to be sure have a professional take a look. My guess is, its just a stain from the water. Don't worry matatangal pa yan, just don't take too long.

ILuvDetailing, one week na sya sa fender ko and naarawan na sya twice, so iniisip ko eh baka naluto na sya sa paint..

revogsx, sa akin laging ganyan pag hindi nalinis ng mabuti ang ibang panels. concentrated na soap solution ang tumulo dyan most probably. pero pag napantay na ang linis ok na. sa car kasi namin mas halata eh kasi white :D

zechs, malamang nga concentrated na soap, pero baka house detergent na matapang na masama sa paint, sana hindi pa huli ang lahat, sa friday ako punta bigberts para isang punta na lang ako hehe,

dun sa nagtanong regarding tulo ng sabon... what happened (most probably) is that the concentrated soap dripped on a dirty paint surface. Hindi technically nagdiscolor yung paint mo but nalinis sya compared to the rest of the panel. Hence the "stain". To fix that, all you have to do is to clean the other parts of that panel.

I'm assuming that sabon ang pumatak of course.

theveed, how do I clean the panels? naka-diamond gloss ako (this is another story sa isang thread na peke ako nila dati hehe) and try ko i-warranty claim sa carsavers this friday (22july), pag ayaw nila eh sa bigberts na ako patulong sa fender

hindi pa sumagot si blackmagic sa PM ko last tuesday, kaw na lang PM ko mamya dahil balak ko magpa windshield detail ulit and sidemirror etching hehe

from the looks of things, mukhang matapang na sabon ang ginamit dyan.. as long as this stain hasn't etched into the paint, this can be removed easily by polishing with a abrasive.. hopefully baka pa nga makuha yan ng cleaner wax or some mild chemical cleaner para wala namang levelling ng paint na mangyayari.

Martian: Basics lang muna kunin mo, good car shampoo, wash mitt (2), a couple of MF towels, old toothbrushes, a small bottle of Simple Green and a jar of cleaner wax will be a good start na di sayang pera mo. Please do a search nalang for products and visit PAD for more info.

oo nga theveed, any starting kit? marami na ako JML and microtek MF pero nalilito pa rin ako sa mga wax na gagamitin hehe, nag-visit na rin ako sa PAD pero nakakalito mga post, i'll try to post to get a clear answer hehe

yung starting kit like isang package ng wax/cleaners with MF and wash mitts, or isang package kit for users of BnD KP600 or yung rotary polisher

revoGSX: You can start off with Mothers Step 1 as your paint cleaner and Mothers Carnuba Wax as your wax. Buy a couple of foam applicators, available sa Hans Tools Shang, baka meron din sa BB tanong mo na lang. Also buy the Mothers Clay bar from Bigberts (while supplies last). Wag muna Rotary, practice with the ROP first before jumping to a Rotary

The reason I recommend Mothers, is that its easy to work with, and its easy to buff off.
