I don't understand why people choose to viaje on Holy Wednesday knowing na carmageddon. Or is that a Maundy Thursday? If I were working, I'll either leave on a Tuesday or Thursday.

March 28th, 2024 04:42 PM #1652For minimum/daily wage earners, sayang yung extra day. Last night in the news there was one would be passenger who after buying his bus ticket, sold it again because he couldn't book the return trip on Sunday.
Also Pinoys have this nasty habit of waiting till the last minute to do anything, whether its buying tickets or applying for documents.

March 28th, 2024 07:02 PM #1653"they had to go and work".
aside from the money lost by not working on a working day, there may also be the threat of penalties incurred from being absent from work on a working day.
we should also keep in mind, that each of these cars in the picture, probably contained two or three working folks, as well as students who go to school. their schedule for leaving the NCR at the last minute, may have been dictated by only one of these people.
also,
in an interview, the airport guy said that they already had a big jump in airport business during palm weekend.
this is probably from the more affluent in the population, who could afford to start their vacation earlier than the others.Last edited by dr. d; March 28th, 2024 at 07:18 PM.

March 28th, 2024 07:16 PM #1655see my pahabol statement above.
i mean,
i can go on vacation anytime.
but my spouse has her concerns and responsibilities at her work, as do my children in their activities.
our vacation schedule will be dictated by their concerns.
thus, even if three people can go on vacation any time, the fourth, whose life choices are more limited, will dictate the conduct of the vacation.Last edited by dr. d; March 28th, 2024 at 07:27 PM.

Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier "parang di Holy Week naging normal weekend lang". Guess some already learned their lesson and just chose to stay and enjoy the city instead of dealing with carmageddon.

A 70/30 water to coolant mix may improve cooling efficiency but that's at the cost of less...
Coolant...
