    Hello Kangkungan (aka. Logtanga)!

For some reason, I can't reply to your post.
Traffic is light to moderate lang here in NCR, galing din ako BGC kanina.

By the way, Madrid and Barcelona were great (but hindi yung tipong ba-balik balikan na lugar. IMHO, yun bang tipong you've seen it once is OK na).

All it takes is is an A-Lister in Philippine Arena and NLEX looks like that

Wow!!

The best pala mag-grocery kapag umaga ng Holy Wednesday.. [emoji41]

NLEX northbound sobrang bagal na kanina. Mindanao entry to Tabang almost 2 hours - pasingit singit pa kami nun.
    Petron and Caltex mukhang tiangge.

Mag-diaper kayo if you are venturing North. [emoji16]

I don't understand why people choose to viaje on Holy Wednesday knowing na carmageddon. Or is that a Maundy Thursday? If I were working, I'll either leave on a Tuesday or Thursday.

For minimum/daily wage earners, sayang yung extra day. Last night in the news there was one would be passenger who after buying his bus ticket, sold it again because he couldn't book the return trip on Sunday.

Also Pinoys have this nasty habit of waiting till the last minute to do anything, whether its buying tickets or applying for documents.

"they had to go and work".
aside from the money lost by not working on a working day, there may also be the threat of penalties incurred from being absent from work on a working day.
we should also keep in mind, that each of these cars in the picture, probably contained two or three working folks, as well as students who go to school. their schedule for leaving the NCR at the last minute, may have been dictated by only one of these people.

    also,
in an interview, the airport guy said that they already had a big jump in airport business during palm weekend.
this is probably from the more affluent in the population, who could afford to start their vacation earlier than the others.

but these people have cars so I assume hindi blue collar workers. Pwede naman mag file ng leave We don't go out on holy week, after parati (and like any other holiday)

    see my pahabol statement above.

    i mean,
i can go on vacation anytime.
but my spouse has her concerns and responsibilities at her work, as do my children in their activities.
our vacation schedule will be dictated by their concerns.
thus, even if three people can go on vacation any time, the fourth, whose life choices are more limited, will dictate the conduct of the vacation.

That is the reason why I travelled with my family whenever their is an opportunity when the kids were still young. They have less own/personal priorities then.
Now its difficult to gather them around. Parating may absent.

Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier "parang di Holy Week naging normal weekend lang". Guess some already learned their lesson and just chose to stay and enjoy the city instead of dealing with carmageddon.

    as an aside,
    in the olden days,
anyone who does not move 'ala luksa during Holy Week, especially Good Friday,
are automatically branded as "mga Hudyo!" by my elders.
    times have indeed changed.
