June 29th, 2017 02:17 PM #594Hello guys.
I agree with the risks of buying Chev regarding parts and poor after sales service.
To be fair with Chev, they have very good products relative to the other brands if the cars were matched head to head.
It is good value for money.
I currently own a Spin. Nasira radiator blower. Unit overheats. No spares available. 2 weeks na sa casa.
Two weeks down time already. Chev Baliuag is handling the unit. NO SPARES YET FOR 2 WEEKS NOW.
If you can live with this type of aftersales then Chev cars may be good for you.
On the other side of the coin....My Spin is 3 years and 2 months with above 50,000kms on the ODO.
The broken blower will be replaced....FREE. Or anything else that might have an issue because warranty is 5 years.
5 YEARS WARRANTY BUMPER TO BUMPER.
Try comparing that with the 3 years warranty of the popular brands. After 3 years with the other brands, any damaged part will be charged to customer.
We can weigh the advantages and disadvantages of such options. Its up to the buyer/owner which one is more important.

July 1st, 2017 05:02 PM #596Our Spin was purchased 2014.
I am unaware of the "current" warranty of Chev.
But during 2014, We have noticed that the Colorado and Trailblazer had 3 years warranty + 2 years extended on major parts. We then clarified the issue with Chev regarding the other units.
In 2014, it was made clear that their SPIN, SPARK, SONIC are under 5 years warranty bumper to bumper...and not 3 years + 2 years extended on major parts.
And that the 3 years + 2 years extended applied to Trailblazer and Colorado.
This issue was "clarified" before our purchase was finalized.
For units purchased 2015 to 2017 , I am not sure.... I am not up to date.
Nasa casa pa din ang SPIN and still NO spare parts.
Quite sad.

July 1st, 2017 05:50 PM #5982 weeks na rin sa casa ang Spin ko and parts still pending/ ordered abroad. I have to contest with TCCI re warranty because the service advisor keeps on insisting(as advised daw by planta) that fuel strainer pump assy is a consumable wear and tear part. Sabi ko I dont care if the strainer is part of the pump assembley because that is the way it was designed but my point is the pump is the one that failed NOT the strainer and pump is part of the powertrain. Kung makakalusot lang eh lulusot, sabi ko pa kahit in 20yrs banlawan ko lang yang strainer na yan eh ayos pa rin yan. I convinced TCCI that Y13 engine wouldn't work without fuel pump and should be under the 5yrs powertrain warrenty they are boasting on the advertisement.
By the looks on how Chevy handle parts, aabutin buwan sa casa ang sasakyan. They cant' even identify/give me the part number so that i could help source out from my importer.
