At the time, we were the biggest nickel supplier to China so NIKL doubled within a few months. Then of course the Chinese economy slowed and now it's less than 1/4 its value in 2014. Lessons learned the hard way - slow and steady wins the race; and never put your money into something you don't understand yourself.

You have a point. A friend invested in DD when it was at P2/share. Now it is P55++ and she already has more than P500K paper gain! Not sure who got the losing end though.

The consensus was that "Remain" would win, kaya nagkarambulan markets ngayon. If not, maaga pa lang nagbabaan na.

Economics-wise i don't think there's a big change, but politically, it opens up a can of worms. Yung Nederlands and France, parang me call na to have their own referendum; within UK, Scotland and Northern Ireland voted for "Remain", so they're a bit sore about the outcome. Not sure if this can lead to a potential breakup.

New member here... I am just about to get a VUL from BPI-Philam Life Insurance Corp. Gusto ko lang sana humingi ng advice. I am new to investing... Actually my plan was to open an account at COL and do my investing directly sa stock market. Pero nung napunta ako ng BPI I was talked into getting a VUL instead because the agent said it is also an investment with insurance. Gusto ko lang po sana humingi ng payo kung ano ang advisable, kung kumuha ako ng VUL at mag open parin ako ng COL account or di ko na tuloy yung VUL ko instead kuha ng term insurance and do investing at COL.

    Thank you.

P.S. the VUL that they were proposing nga pala is BPI-Philam Equity Index Fund. 56k Annual Premiums and yung sa insurance nya 650k life insurance and 650k heath insurance. And the maturity is 5 years.

Have anyone noticed na yung SM (sm investments) ay natapyasan ng mga around 500 sa price? Last time I checked this was around 1,021 na. Playing around 800-900 this year. Ngayon nasa 600 nalang. [emoji33] Based sa chart it never went up above 700 pa. WTH... [emoji15]

Sir, nag 50% stock div kasi sya last week. If you owned one share before the ex-date, you get 0.5 shares. Mag aadjust talaga yung stock price dahil dyan. You don't lose your investment naman, it's jyst divided into more shares
