January 21st, 2008 04:58 PM #21it is not really so much about the quantity of people but rather the quality of people---we have a very thin middle class sector in our society. because companies here pay less and the cars cost twice as much as if we are in a first world country. hellooooowww

Kaya ng pinoy mag design and manufacture ng car, pinoy nga nag design ng lunar rover, problem is our government does not support filipino inventors wala kasi sila kikitain don. Not like in Korea, sinuportahan ng Korean government ang Kia and Hyundai kaya competetive na sila ngayon nakakapag export na sila even in US. Para maka gawa ka ng car kailangan mag laan ka para sa research and development and this is a big money sinong pinoy mag iinvest dyan. Dapat gobyerno kaya lang sa bulsa napupunta pera natin (from tax payers). Dapat makapag develop tayo ng isang engine e ni wala tayo kahit isang engine o yung pang motocycle man lang. Kahit other parts like transmission or differential wala tayo. Ang Anfra mazda makina and pati pang ilalim, Sarao/FMC - Isuzu/toyota, Norkis - suzuki/daihatsu. Body lang kaya nating gawin. Kailangan natin ng suporta ng gobyerno (asa ka pa)
DOST sa halip na encourage mga filipino inventors o makipag tulungan para ma improve mga invention nila e walang ginagawa. Di ko alam para saan ba DOST. Kaya tuloy yung magagaling na pinoy sa ibang bansa nakikipag sapalaran. Kaya lalong napapagiwanan ang pinas. Kurakotang number 1 problem natin pag nawala ito kaya na natin makipag sabayan.

maybe the first step in reviving the philippine auto industry is by reviving or remodelling the traditional owner type jeeps. there is already an exixsting thread. search nyo nalang. maybe 2nd generation OTJ with a new "suv inspired body" will be very good.

tama ka dun sir, meron nga akong kaibingan na magaling na machinist. meron siyang nagawang isang piyesa ng motorcycle, hindi ko alam kung sprocket ba tawag nun, tapos try niya pina-kita sa mga tao dito sa DOST-7, imbes na tanggapin at e test kung quality ba ang isang pinoy invention, para bang dini-disregard at sasabihin pang marami nang gumawa nyan.
Pero, sa pag pupursigi ng kaibigan try niyang nilagay sa trycycle ng isang kaibigan ko, hanggang ngayon gumagana pa rin, mag 2 years nang ginagamit matibay pa rin.
So kung sana sinuporta lang ng mga kina-uukulan, may umasenso na sana.

Sana ituloy nya yung ginawa nya. Malaki market nya. Ibenta nya dapat. Sayang malaki solo bike at motorcycle market sa PInas. He might hit big time.
Pabayaan na lang natin gobyerno. Para ka kasing nakikipagsabunutan sa mga kalbo at mukhang kotong...ungas na politiko at kawani ng gobyerno

i think i read it somewhere... during the time of president marcos, he was planning to create a philippine car company that would make our very own cars. but then again, di na cguro natuloy kasi napaalis na siya sa pwesto.
mabuti pa nga ang malaysia, may proton (est. 1985). at ngaun nakapasok na sila sa UK, australian market.
kung pondo lang for R&D ang kailangan.... maybe the pork barrel will do. hehe.. (ofcourse that won't happen, asa ka pa?
).
ung inspiration ng gumawa ng tata nano (a business tycoon) eh ung mga pamilya na nakikita niya na nakasakay sa motorsiklo; ung tatay, ung nanay, ung anak nila. those kind of people who can't afford cars because of their prices. that's what pushed him to making a cheap car that can ferry those families safer than motorcycles, not just the profits (its priced really low, there might only be small profit with it). ibang klase no?
meron kaya ganun dito sa pilipinas?
