    im working here in transCo...Meron sa amin PEB(Principal Engineer B) which designed/created/invented his own car backed-up by transCo..Very reliable kc his travelling with it from Pampanga to Nueva Ecija.. Its like a small pick-up truck/car (kotse-kotsehan nga ata)..its a Fuel-Efficient and slow..parang Nano rin cguro ito...pero decent.

    Actually madaming pinoy may pera. Tulad nila Tan, Sy, Ayala, Gokongwei, Villar etc

    Baket hindi sila nag invest sa pag gawa ng pinoy car?

    Kasi alam nila magtatapon lang sila ng pera.

    Actually our local automotive manufacturing industry consists of thousands of backyard shops building PUJs, mini-buses, owner type jeeps/wranglers, tricycles, and pedicabs.

    That's it. That's our Tata or Chery.

    low on budget kasi ang pinoy pero konting abilidad lang, napapahusay na nila ang mode of transpo nila. tulad ng mga nakikita ko lang nowadays ay ang motorized pedicabs sa sampaloc area in manila at ilang trolleys/scooters na nilagyan ng motor ng lawn mower sa gawi ng rear wheel dito sa greenhills at sa gawi ng novaliches. yun nga lang, hindi ito road worthy at dagdag na naman sa iiwasan ng mga tsikot natin sa kalye.

    Ang China at India, napakalaki ng population, hence malaki ang market. Kahit 1% lang ng population nila ang bumili, buhay na sila. And hindi ganun ka brand conscious mga tao doon. Dito sa Pilipinas, hindi ka mabubuhay kung magrerely ka sa local market lang, and napaka brand conscious ng mga tao dito.

    on the other hand, i think it's about buying power.

    Like China has 1.3 billion people and the US has 300 million people (less than 1/4 of China)

    300M americans consume more stuff than 1.3 billion mainland chinese

    The Phils. has far less people with little buying power.

    sobrang galing mga pinoy sa totoo lang.. mekaniko pa lang eh kahit gaano kakumplikado yung car kaya nilang ayusin.. .. pero i guess meron din kasi tayong "pwede na yan mentality" mahilig mag remedyo instead na puliduhin..

    Tama ka sir. maraming sasakyang gawa ng Pinoy--Alana hammer, MDJuan wrangler, multicabs of Norkis etc. Ito ay sa kabila ng kawalan ng pagsuporta ng inutil at tiwaling pamahalaan natin kasama na rin ang maraming Pinoy na mukha at bukang bibig ay imported.

    May Pinoy vehicles, pero kailangan ng tulong. bulok din naman ang mga sasakyang gawa ng hapon, koreano, kano, chinese at indian nuon. Ngayon lang umaayos kasi binili ng mamamayan nila. At na-export narin. Yung population as an issue, hindi yun. 90 million tayo, 13th largest sa mundo. Korea less than half ng sa atin lumaki ang auto industriya nila. Taiwan,Malaysia, France, Germany have a smaller population than ours pero ok car industry nila.

    Suporta lang ng kapwa pinoy kailangan.At ng pamahalaan.Uunlad ang mga Pinoy vehicles natin dahil may pera para bumili ng mas makabagong technology.

    Sabi mo nga, mayroon na tayo, nandyan na Norkis, FMC, at iba pang native assemblers. konting support, aarangkada tayo.
