Pag nag leak it only means nabara lang yun drain. I'm voting for split type. Cleaning is not really expensive. 1.2k lang naman.

Bro, there is also a chance the static switch got stuck preventing the blower to start resulting to icing in the evaporator and thus waterfall!

I checked out Hitachi 1hp. 39k for a 1hp unit. Kinda sick... I am opting more for the Conception Ind. brands like Carrier, Condura or Midea since they are the cooling experts. Have to factor in the installation fee also.

okie guys thanks again. narrowing down my choices. will buy an inverter split type, either panasonic, hitachi or mitsubishi. highest EER & warranty are priority list. panasonic window type a/c has a free service cleaning twice within a year from the date of purchased. Not sure though for panasonic split type. is there any free service cleaning for hitachi and mitsubishi??

on paper, cleaning that clog seems easy.
in practice, it can be a real vicious female canis lupus. we know.. it still leaks, despite so many callbacks.. perhaps it is a problem of serviceman's training..?
