I didnt have tempered glass or film on my note9 when I had it the first 6months. The screen got minute scratches lol. I'm too clumsy and the work I do really banged up my phone...

I thought those "films" would be ok.. it got punctures lol. Scratches and all...

When the lady was removing the film.. it was torn many times lol.

The new glass looks ok. And the slickness is great. It is like a new surface again.

I don't like tempered glass ever since.

What i do like though are films, matte and glossy films to protect the screen.

Got it done here in India for 800 pesos with lifetime warranty.

Yes, mahal; pero it's from samsung store and mag 16 months na, hindi pa nag pepeel yung film layer.

it is not advisable to DIY screen protectors. At least for me, i don't have the dexterity to do it.

OT: DIY is Destroy-it-yourself as per ramon bautista. hehe

I am using privacy glass, try ko lang pero mukhang hindi kasing tibay ng ibang purely tempered glass.

Dati tempered glass which I have proven to save the screen from damage in case of minor drops or bumps of hard objects.

I'm too scared to try it. Not that i'm afraid of scratching my phone but baka masayang ko yung film kaka ulit ng kabit.

My last phone, yung S7, bare from the day i purchased it; ayun daming scratches.

Pero my current Note, i decided to have film protector, still good as new nung tinanggal ko rear film. Hehe

Bought a leather flip case for wifey with tempered glass. Before kasi nakabasag din siya tempered glass at buti hindi nadali screen ng G5. Kaya gumagamit na din kami as extra layer of protection nga.

Even gorilla glass can be scratched and the tempered glass acts as a the first layer of defense somewhat.

Not all will need a tempered glass od course. Bu those that do fieldworks a lot and gaya ko na medyo clumsy, it's a good thing to have imho.

Never used tempered glass eversince. Kasi my point it pag bumagsak na nakanto yun phone basag pa rin screen talaga whether with TG or not.

Sakin nakatulong, yung bwiset ko na car phone holder bumagsak, pag tingin ko laki ng scratch, buti yung tempered glass ang nabasag, ilang months pa lang phone ko. Ngayon may scratch na naman so I need to replace it again

Ung tempered glass ba, as in matigas flat or pliable din? Kasi my fone came with a free protective later, I was thinking this was the tempered glass people refer to.

Ung fine Ng wife ko nabagsak, bagsak ang glass but still working, plano ko lagyan nito to protect it from falling apart
