^as I said... I'm done arguing na status symbol and iPhone 13 Pro...

if you're android device is working well with wireless Android Auto... then good for you.

sa akin kasi napuputol which is very annoying.

    but is it the phone,
    or is it something else?

i have a low end android,
    at napuputol rin siya...

in our worplace, it is an open secret.
napaka-hina nang globe signal... costumers sometimes have to walk to the other side of the building, to call.

no. not the signal... Android Auto

every time I use my car's wireless Android Auto, minsan di pa nakakalabas ng subdivision, disconnected na sa head unit.

unlike kung wife o daughter ko ang connected (CarPlay) its very stable

ang sakin lang once you get to a certain price point (like 50K or 60K) you already get a good phone

you go to 100k hindi na exactly performance ang habol mo it's something less tangible

    i agree.
price will get you somewhere up there in the performance race.
beyond that price, "you're already paying for the luxury"

    but hey!
    performance and luxury,
some folks can't tell the difference.
    sometimes, i can't, myself.

tsaka wala naman ako sinabi luxury good ang telepono

    of course it's a tool

ung driver mong walang cellphone kailangan mo nga bilhan ng cellphone para makontak mo pag magpapasundo ka na

    tsaka pang waze niya

    it's a tool

pero syempre you're not gonna buy him the same phone you're using

bibilhan mo lang ng redmi or realme

    -

up to a certain price all the utility you'll need in a phone is already there

you keep going up in price the tool becomes an accessory

Agree on the iphone being a luxury. But I like its reliability. Iba talaga pag closed system, walang nakikialam na ibang developer sa operating system nya.

one may thus argue that it's not a luxury anymore, as one's raison de etre here, is the reliability issue.

    yes.
some may argue, that they're just glorified toys or luxuries.
but if one has to use them features on a regular basis for their day-to-day transactions,
    it becomes a real need.
hindi na luxury yan. tool na yan.

    exactly my point.

everyone will have their own reasons.

kaya I disagree when someone says na something is a "status symbol"

for me.. art works/pieces lang ang "status symbol"

Ang tamang price for an iphone, for me, is around 30K. For the top of the line androids, dapat nasa 25K or less. I can buy a previous gen iphone updated to the latest firmware, for the purpose that serves me, but I opted to buy the latest, which becomes a luxury.

The feel of the iphone in one's hand makes it seem like an art work, as opposed to the plasticky feel of the competition.

they are all made of glass...

although some iPhone models use stainless steel, compared to aluminum used by Samsung.

iPhone has ceramic glass daw. 4x tougher than previous iPhone. Parang you don't need cases na with iPhone. Maybe the feel of the actual iPhone as opposed to a feel a case protector. [emoji23]

can certain phones give its users a clear survival advantage over users of other phones?

i mean it's obvious people who own smartphones (any brand) have survival advantage over people who don't

for example mga nawalan ng trabaho during pandemic

dahil meron smartphone pwede mag online selling -- may hanapbuhay (survival advantage) compared to those without smartphone

pero among smartphone users, do we also see an obvious survival advantage in users of certain phones?

as obvious as the difference between have-phones and no-phones

    hindi diba?

mas malakas ba magbenta ng kotse sa Marketplace mga naka iphone dahil mas maganda photos nila?

mas mabilis ba ma-promote ang empleyadong naka iphone dahil mas productive sila?
