So effectively you pay 13.6k for your phone (8.8k + 200x24). Resale value of that phone in 2 years will be around 2-3k. So net cash out is 11k.

In comparison, getting a Note 10 now will cost you around 32k. Resale value after 2 years will be about 15k. Thus net cash out is 17k.

So the real difference is just 11k vs 17k instead of the SRP difference of ~20k vs 55k. And for that 2 years you get a much faster phone with more features and a better camera.

Oppo Reno 2 is one (if not) of the most expensive mid ranger priced at 29T when it came out last quarter last year.

Specs of the S20 are out. Only the S20 has a decent size (6.2"). The Plus (6.7") and Ultra (6.9") are way too big.

Only the Ultra gets the best cameras (108 MP main camera, 10x telephoto). Not sure if the S20 will have significantly better sensors than the Note 10.

4K/60 or 8K looks really tempting...

I wonder if the file system will still cut files every 4GB

With the possibly big 16gb memory and ufs3.0. I think it should be unlimited with the onboard system storage. The microsd will be the bottleneck.

Successfully blocked a lot Xiaomi servers from my Mi 9T Pro using netguard. God damn Xiaomi's MIUI contact many of their servers all the time. And it's coming within deep inside the system root and service frameworks. Didn't experienced this with oneplus.

^Yung free version lang NetGuard mo or yung paid version? Had NetGuard before pero yung free lang. If ip or domain blocking I think yung paid version tama ba? Nagtry ako before ng isang free app that can do domain blocking. Lakas sa battery. Hehe

Drool. I like already. Probably more expensive than my gaming laptop though.

4GB video is a file system issue, same as the GoPro...

then the second issue is wala naman Movie Editor na maayos ang Android...

buti pa yung iPhone, nung lumabas yung 4K recording nila, biglang update din ng iMovie to support 4K.

One drawback of having 108MP squeezed into a small phone sensor is that you only get 0.7 micron pixel size.

This is much smaller than the 1.8 micron pixels of the 12MP Sony IMX555 sensors on the lower end S20 variants.

For comparison, a Canon 6D has 6.55 micron pixels. Bigger pixels = more detail per pixel.

Edit: The Ultra will still have an output of 12MP with the use of pixel-binning to generate a 2.4 micron pixel. Looks promising.

wala talagang stock nang Oppo Reno 2 sa Globe. I opted for Huawei Nova 5T.. better chipset at Kirin 980.

I think SD865(maybe the exynos990 also?) will enable this 4k(60fps?)continuous recording. The only limit mentioned is 8k recording capped to 10+minutes.

4K 60 FPS is more useful than 8K. But even 4K 60 FPS seems overkill these days - most people view videos on their phones where 4K is not noticeable vs 1080P.

Sayang lang sa space unless you watch a lot of videos on a 55" or bigger TV.

I dont know. Terabyte microsd cards are getting cheaper. Maybe this is a good combination for vacations instead of bringing a dedicated camera. I really want to upgrade hehehe. My unstabilized 1440p is not that great lol. And no hdr

Not about the storage, more about the ability of the eye to see the difference.

A 1080p video shot with a stabilizer will be much much easier on the eyes than 4K or 8K handheld video. Rather than upgrading your phone, just get a gimbal if you really want to shoot videos.
