I used to have V-Moda M100 but I lost it, haven't replaced it since. I used to pair it with my budget but good Fiio X3.
I'm looking at the sony you're recommending but I'm not sure how bluetooth headphones' quality (using phones) compare to the wired ones using DAP.
I mean, if I had to spend on quality cans might as well do it right (with dap). What's your take?
i travel frequently and the convenience of wireless cans in combo with my smartphone suits me. also, the Bluetooth tech now become so advance that telling any audible difference between wired and wireless is getting hard. i also own a DAP (same Fiio X3) but i no longer use it. my take is, if what you do is mostly home listening probably with your collection of hi-res music files, then you might as well spend on a wired cans, partner with a good DAP and a top notch DAC/Amp, then you are good to go. but if you do only casual "on the go" listening (or even home listening) with smartphones on music streamers, and you don't want any cables cluttering around your neck then the active noise cancelling wireless headphone is the right choice. as always, audition before you buy!
You have good taste on DAP, lol.
Might get that new sony can na din siguro since it also allows wired use naman yata.
Or, have you tried apple airpods? How's the sound quality compared to the cans you tried?
Its appeal kasi is that you can wear them more discreetly (like, in the office), unlike the big-as$-look-at-me-headphones.
You are in luck. Search mo sa net, massdrop mj2 headphones. $500 naka-sale for only $99. Of course may shipping pa mga 10USD siguro. Kakainis nga at kabibili ko lang Sennheiser HD1 IEM's. Mas comfortable ako sa in ear eh, much more convenient for me. Pero if nakita ko ito for the same price, deym.
Galit na nga si misis kasi may AKG pa daw ako. Nabanngit ko kasi na baka pwede pangregalo sa anak ko. Ayaw. Hahaha

yes, you can use it wired if halimbawang maubos baterya. btw, the battery last very long up to 30hrs or more. the noise cancelling feature gumagana din kahit wired connection as long as naka-on. no, i have not tried apple airpods. meron din wireless earbuds ang Sony and other brand like Jabra elite, Bose soundsport, all having good reviews.
may i know ano bang phone mo? yung LG V30 o kaya yung new LG V40 have a dual DAC so it negates the need of a separate DAP. may audio jack pa rin saka aptX yung bluetooth kaya you can use it either wired o wireless.

Airpods... i have one. for daily commute. if you are just into listening to music ok lang siya, so so sound quality, not so bad na tipong tunong lata, but not so good too, just decent. sound quality is not the selling point of Airpods when it was release, it is more of portability and compatibility with Apple device. But if i will replace my airpods i might look into Bose line up. i just hope na mas lumiit pa yun form factor ng bose.
I only hear about Massdrop but never tried it. We'll see if I'd be courageous enough to try and order from there.
I have Huawei Mate 10 and Iphone X. I appreciate Fiio's sound every time I try to use a phone for music. I sometimes regret it why I even bothered listening.
your Huawei Mate 10 have a good DAC, aptX HD bluetooth compatible plus its an android Oreo so it supports Sony's LDAC bluetooth codec. it should match well and sound good paired sa Sony wireless headphone in case you decide to get one. i have not tried pairing my HP to an iphone but afaik, yung bluetooth ng Iphone does not support aptX or higher codec.

That is good to know.
I used to have an LG G2. I wouldn't have bought a new phone but I broke its screen last year hence the Mate 10. I don't know if it's just me but the G2 sounds better wired than my Huawei. The iPhone X, meanwhile, no headphone jack.![]()
