Not sure about your phone as you didn't specified the model (or I may have missed it in one of your posts), but you may run into a roadblock if you can't unlock the phone using PIN or pattern with a broken screen. My experience with my two Xperia phones is that, upon connection of the USB cable from the PC, the Companion app prompts me to unlock the phone via PIN or pattern before the phone will allow the Companion app to access the file system (MTP mode).

Still worth a try though. Worst case, if you still have access to it as a USB storage device, just backup the whole thing to a local folder on your PC.

IIRC first analog phone ng daughter ko was she was 7 or 8. When she turned 10, gave her nokia 5235 (basta music phone sya iirc) as her 2nd phone (semi smart phone). Tapos every year hand me down smart phones from me, unless di nya type; i have to buy her anything under 15k value.

Pag hindi na hatid sundo. Or may time na gumagamit na sila PUV. Or may mga lakad na bukod sa school like pagpunta sa bahay ng classmates.

Para sa mga daughters ko eh grade 7. I also installed tracking apps so I know where they are anytime di na kailangan itanong. I also got then a cheap plan from smart ₱399. Unlitext na, some call time and 3gb data. Important yung Unlitext para di magamit ang dahilan na wala silang load, haha.

Although they had phones and tablets on earlier age. Pero most of the time pang laro lang. Grade 7 lang talaga a must ang cellphone at bawal maiwan sa bahay.

Sa Xperia din pwede mag backup sa microSD, if the touchscreen doesn't work, try hooking up a mouse via USB OTG, then go to backup and reset.

Pwede din mag backup sa USB OTG device. Para maraming copy. 🙂

saw a LG Q6 in greenhills. mini version daw ito ng Lg G6. price tag * 14k only. naka 5.5" full vision display, aspect ratio 18:9 as the G6. pantapat daw sa J7 pro * 16K at other midrange CP. tempting to buy it but my concern the batt was only 3000mAh and chipset was only snapdragon 435 (low end huh). Has anyone bought it? pls share your feedback. here's the full specs

My uncle got a Zenfone 3 Max powered by SD430, 5.5 inch 1080p din display, yun nga lang 4100mAh battery kaya medyo matagal battery life. I think the 430 series are decent performers, matipid din sa battery. I suggest you wait for reviewers' battery life test pero it would still be based on your daily usage.

Natuwa ako sa TVC niyan, compact 5.5 inch phone with few extra features brought by the 'new' 18.5:9 ratio. Yun nga lang walang fingerprint scanner if that bothers you. Though I wish they used the SD625 + added a fingerprint scanner para mas sulit.

aspect ratio18:9 is a cool screen size. basically 2 squares combine as one screen so you got wider viewing. the draw back of 18:9 some apps especially games were not yet compatible. may black both sides of the screen. Im sure apps developers will fix this issue

iPhone SE is still in production, yung Xperia X Compact naman di yata available dito. Pero may rumor na lalabas yung smaller brother ng XZ Premium, 4.6 inch 720p powered by Snapdragon 835. Malamang XZ compact pangalan niya.

If you really want a compact Android powerhouse, the Z5 compact (SD810) is still perfectly capable after 2 years in the market. ☺

Mukhang iPhone SE na nga lang yung fit sa 4inch below.

Since same sya ng specs ng iPhone 6s, which is fast enough as daily driver.

Sa Android counterpart, hindi na ako gaano familiar eh, if meron man, most probably, toned down na sobra yung specs kaya medyo laggy na, or baka lumang android version na.
5" sa Android, madami, tapos up to date specs na din.

Analysts say a new SE will be announced early next year, naging hit din naman yung SE sa ibang markets being Apple's 'midrange' device.

Knowing Apple matagal naman support nila, plus you have tons of accessories to choose from since kasya yung para sa 5/5s. 😄

For some reason my sister's SE lags when scrolling to Spotlight Search. Weird lang kasi anlaki pa ng memory niya so that couldn't be the problem.
