s8 is 40k and s8+ is 46k. I wonder if s7 will go down in price.

Meh. 150 pesos difference per month.
I guess if you're really penny pinching, prepaid is better.
Haven't seen a prepaid sim with 0917-8xx. I've lost track of all the prepaid prefixes they use. Even the old 0916 and 0927 of the prepaid sims 2 decades ago are gone. 0946 na ba ngayon or something like that.

Ako lang yata ang "meh" sa S8.
Not a fan of the fragile almost all-glass design. Pinapanood ko yung product video feel ko dudulas sa kamay any time. Parang hindi hindi ergonomic.

youre not alone.. but the newer glass is good. i dropped my phone glass first on some rough surface. washed it good and no major damage.
"meh" cause of that small battery for the s8+ and that bixby button 🤣. i think those will be improved on the s9++ 🤣

^ nagagandagan ako sa s8 because of its big screen small frame gaya ng note 7 ko dati na ginamit ko for 2 months. But also beacause of that refund, i tried using midrange samsung a9 na 15k for temporary until there's a flagship like s8 or note 8. Pero di na, very satisfied with this set up na midrange na lang. Laki ng matitipid at the same time ok na ok naman performance

So basically, anything that ends with 5, 6, or 7 is Globe. All else, either Smart or Sun. Smart also has exclusivity with prefixes that end with 8 or 9.
Basta, naaasiwa ako sa hindi original prefix. Kahit nga yung Smart postpaid ko na 0998 parang hindi ko naaassociate sa Smart because I'm used to 0918 or 0920.

Islacom pioneered gsm with 915 area code, followed by globe with 917, then smart followed with 918, then by sun with 922
Islacom expanded to 916
Globe cant expand to 918 because it was already taken by smart so the resorted to buying islacom
Smart expanded to 919, 920, 921
Sun expanded to 923 924 925
Further expansion resorted to incrementing or decrementing the 2nd digits of these area codes

[Zenfone 3 Zoom: Tech and Top Features]-Usap Tayo
I was an Android Enthusiast, way back in 2011.
My very first Smartphone was the Android HTC Sensation XE.
Been in the Android Ecosystem for like 4 years.
Then I tried the Apple Ecosystem. I was hooked.
My first iphone was the iphone 5.
Couple of reasons why I switched to apple:
a.) Apps are more stable
b.) Seamless (if you own more than one apple devices like iPad)
c.) App design language is mostly consistent all throughout. Since I believe apple sets standards that must be strictly followed for it to be approved for publication to the appstore.
d.) This is subjective, but I find the Cameras from iPhone better than it's Android Counterparts, (White balance, Color Saturation), Android phones oftentimes over saturates the color of the photos. (I don't know if this is still existent with the current Android flagships, since I am not really that much updated now with the Android Ecosystem)
e.) And lastly (my weirdest reason, and I am really guilty of it). When I was still on Android, I couldn't stop myself from fiddling with my phones' Operating system. I kept on reflashing ROMs everyday, that even my daily driver was using Custom Rom, and for those who are familiar with the said scenario, bugs might occur with the said Custom ROM, rendering your phone useless til you flash a stable ROM. And it takes considerable amount of time for the process to be fully done, since you need to redownload or reinstall the apps that you really need, plus restore backups (messages, photos etc). So yeah, I am keeping myself from buying another Android Device, because for sure, the cycle will repeat.
But I have to admit, I miss the Android Ecosystem. There are stuffs that are way easier to in Android than Apple does. like the ffg.
a.) Transferring Music from PC to Phone (I hate itunes!)
b.) Downloading files from the browser (Apple has closed ecosystem, Android has File manager)
Bottomline, it doesn't matter which Ecosystem/platform you choose, what's important is, pick the one that suffices to your needs. I liked the Apple Ecosystem, because of its simplicity. (Maybe I am just getting old, 26 years old, that's why I prefer things that are simple but does the job just fine).
personal history lesson.
before, samsung was just like every other cellphone.
but things changed radically, at about the time when apple sub-contracted samsung to do some "work" for its new product. i couldn't understand it at first, or if i did, only "very superficially". but now, looking at the big picture with historical perspective...
jobs had every right to be incensed.
My first postpaid was globe and I remember they asked me for last for letters of my number. and I chose my full name initials. When I switched to smart they didn't asked me for a custom number. I wonder if that's still the case with globe.

Isnt your last line a paradox to your statement "i hate itunes"?
