yung iba naman, like my friend, easily contact him sa sun. 2nd phone lang nya ang globe. e medyo mahina ang signal ng sun sa ibang lugar, so ayun, para may signal pa rin sya sa globe. kumbaga emergency use din. at may mga times na bagsak ang signal ng isang network dahil inaayos

Wife ko 3 phones, one each for Globe, Smart and Sun. Sya kasi kumakausap sa mga customers. Yung ibang customers kasi gusto nila pag Sun sila, Sun din gamit mo. Nangunguripot tumawag ng may bayad.

Ako 1 phone lang, Globe. Ayaw ko marami bitbit.

I know it's inconvenient but I have the same reason with others. One is for business and one is for personal use (family and friends). It's hard to give your own personal number for business transactions. It's for my security purpose. I can't really explain on the security but I feel safer not giving my personal number to anyone I don't know for a long time. Even my friends, well most of them, have 2 different numbers. In my point of view, I think it really depends on how you think. I'm fine bringing a clutch bag with me every time or a laptop bag with me since I carry my laptop sometimes when needed. I don't change my number often as I only changed my phone number when I signed up for a postpaid plan with a phone and when my prepaid sim card is not compatible with my new phone. If you'd ask me why not get a dual sim phone, it's harder for me but it may be easier for you.

i understand yun 2 phones 1 company issued and 1 for personal, ganun din kami but for regular joe hinde ko maintindihan kung wala naman na issue sa kanila ang company kailangan nila lahat ng magkaroon sim lahat ng provider.

Wala nga kasi pang-load yung iba.

For me napilitan na rin ako mag-2 phones (Globe and Smart plan) kasi nga ayaw tumawag sa Globe nung mga naka-sun/smart. Text lang nang text eh minsan kapag busy eh hassle na for me.

This thread has taken a wrong turn somewhere. Let's go back to talking about phones instead of putting down frugal/cheap people.

    Sorry for the OT.

BTT: New Smartphones for 2013 from Google, LG, Samsung, Sony, ZTE - International Business Times

Another flagship mobile phone that has leaked is the Sony Yuga. The Sony Yuga is speculated to sport 1920x1080 full HD screen display, run on Android 4.1.1 JellyBean, and feature 12MP camera with strong photographic calibre, 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, equally powerful to Galaxy Note 2 and Google Nexus 4.

Sony is also researching and developing rollable screens, and hopefully these screen types can deliver BRAVIA engine as well. If Sony includes both technologies, that will be a surprise.

    ZTE to have Flagship too

ZTE Apache is expected to be released next year with octo-core processors, racing with Samsung's version of the same processor type. Leaks said that ZTE will release the carrier flagship mobile phone and call it Nubia Z5.

Nubia Z5 will feature 1.5GHz quad-core processor Snapdragon S4, 5 inches of 1080p screen display, 2GB of RAM, and 13MP rear-facing camera. The chassis has 7.6mm profile which makes it thin, unibody construction, and dual rear speakers.

As for that ZTE phone, it's one bad a$$ phone. Pero sa nakita ko palang, unibody design means built-in storage memory only and battery is not replaceable. Sana the battery is a large capacity one at hindi yun mga 2k-ish mAh battery lang. It may click once released siguro pero not that much.

is this the phone whose back looks like an HTC One X? can't say that i'm a fan of unibody designs. it looks good but the lack of expandability/customizability is a serious drawback for a lot of people. with the bigger displays you'd think that OEMs would put bigger batteries in there as well. antagal mag-catchup ng battery tech to the rest of tech world.

The Note 2 is already big at 5.5 inches...paano na iyan kakasya sa pocket?

Galaxy Note 3 with 6.3-inch display reportedly in the works

Samsung Electronics may be looking to blur the lines between a phone and tablet even further.

The Korean electronics giant is working on a bigger, 6.3-inch display for the eventual Galaxy Note 3, according to the Korea Times.
Samsung has pioneered the category that some refer to as the "phablet" segment, or something between a smartphone and tablet. Initially mocked for the size of the device, Samsung saw decent sales of the first big-bodied Galaxy Note, and pushed for wider distribution with the successor Galaxy Note 2, which saw its display grow to 5.5 inches from 5.3.

Samsung has continually hammered the point that the Galaxy Note has been successful around the world, and has been unusually quick to tout sales numbers as it justifies the new category. Last month, it said it sold 5 million units of the Galaxy Note 2 in two months, or double the rate of the original.

The carriers like the device because it appeals to heavy users who tend to be affluent and willing to spend more on monthly smartphone plans. Samsung sees it as a complement to its flagship Galaxy S3, which has proven to be nearly as strong a draw as Apple's iPhone 5.

The Korea Times also reiterated its belief that the Galaxy S4 will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February. Samsung, however, held its own event last year to unveil the Galaxy S3, and many expect the company to follow the same track this year.

CNET has contacted Samsung for comment, and we'll update the story when the company responds.
