The S3 with official samsung warranty (parts + labor) goes for around P29k.

I've also been canvassing for an S3 since my Note 1 is for sale, the S3 is the perfect device for me. However, I've used my cousin's iPhone 5 and the smoothness is something which will be missed because even the Note 2 lags a bit, but iPhone 5 is smooth as ice. But iOS is too boring for my liking, and the screen is "small" compared to S3!
Actually, S3 with Samsung warranty is around 26-27k nalang. While the Note 2 with Samsung warranty is around 30-31k. For me lang, mas advisable to go for Note 2. For additional 3k, you get a bigger screen, faster processor, and more RAM.

Agreed. That's why I got the Note 1 during the days of the S2. But it's true as previously said, phones depreciate so much and so fast.

Q: What would follow-suit from Quad-Core processor phones?

Waiting for Google Nexus 4, seems like a very good phone considering the US$299 price.

Yeah pero as of now, I can say na tatagal sa akin yun Note 2 ko for 3 years. Its very fast and suits my needs.

What would be the next after quad-core phones? Who knows baka in 2 years, we'll be seeing hexacore phones, or go back to dual core o stay in quad core pero it may have hyper threading. Right now kasi, we can see cameras with SMS functions (Galaxy Camera and the one that will be released by Nikon)

Another rumor for the next Samsung Galaxy S4. Target date of release, April 2013!

Samsung Galaxy S4 rumors point to April 2013 release | Cell Phones & Mobile Device Technology News & Updates | Geek.com

Without a doubt, the best selling Android phone of 2012 will be the Samsung Galaxy S3. And if there was a single Android phone to be seen as a direct competitor for the popularity of the iPhone, the Galaxy S3 would be it. As we wind down 2012 and prepare for another year of exciting gadgetry, it only seems logical that we would start to hear rumors regarding the release of Samsung’s Galaxy successor. Those rumors have begun to suggest an April release date and an impressive spec bump for the inevitable Galaxy S4.

A few months back it was reported that Samsung was planning to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S4 at Mobile World Congress in 2013. Given the intense popularity of the phone it seems unlikely that Samsung would do anything other than hold a dedicated event for their next flagship, but the idea that Samsung could announce early in 2013 didn’t seem too far off. On top of this, we reported on Samsung engineers crowdsourcing possible suggestions for features and hardware in the Galaxy S4 back in October. While it seemed likely that the phone was already well into the prototyping stages of build cycle, there was little question that Samsung was making sure we all knew what was coming.

What would a Galaxy S4 look like, given the explosive evolution in the smartphone world? Unsurprisingly, sources are claiming a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED with a quad-core, LTE-capable processor. A 13MP camera is also rumored for the phone, which no doubt means a 2.1MP or higher front-facing camera as well. This all falls in line with what has been released by Samsung’s competition since the release of the Galaxy S3, making the phone sound more like an incremental spec increase than a feat of engineering prowess and internal development. Samsung will more than likely build on some of the technology they flirted with in the Galaxy S3, like inductive charging and video streaming via DLNA or Miracast.

Despite having only released the Galaxy S3 in July of this year, Samsung is more than likely planning an early 2013 release of the Galaxy S4 in order to get a jump on the iPhone 5S. Apple has been rumored to also be planning an early 2013 release for their next phone, dramatically cutting the typical one year release cycle the company has had with the iPhone since its inception. Since the “S” versions of each iPhone are typically an incremental bump, it would appear that Samsung and Apple are battling to see who can release the next new phone just to get ahead of each other.

Malamang sa malamang nyan, gagawin na nilang quad core ang 5S. Just like the 4S na upgraded processor without a battery upgrade hence battery life suffered.

Bigger and better Galaxy coming soon! Who needs tiny 4" screens...

Samsung Galaxy S IV to come in April with unbreakable screen? - GSMArena.com news

Samsung Galaxy S IV to come in April with unbreakable screen?
    06 December, 2012

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S IV is making the headlines again with new rumors hinting at a possible April 2013 announcement date.

In addition, Reuters is reporting some gossip about an unbreakable display that the flagship will be featuring. Samsung is said to ditch the usual glass cover for its displays in favor of a plastic one, which is said to be virtually impossible to break.

If indeed that's the case, Samsung might be making a case for a huge selling point with a display that doesn't shatter when dropped or hit with heavy object.

Add this to the previous rumors of the device packing a 4.99" 1080p full HD display with a pixel density of 441ppi, and the Galaxy S IV is shaping up to be one extraordinary device indeed. As expected, Samsung has refused to comment on any of the rumors for now.

    Ayan na iPhone 5S.

iPhone 5S spotted in assembly-line images | Expert Reviews

Moved holes suggest a redesigned logic board, and a redesigned logic board means either new hardware or altered specifications. As a result, even from these small images, it's possible to hazard a guess as to what the iPhone 5S will bring: a more powerful, likely quad-core, processor with 2GB of RAM, possible near-field communications (NFC) capability to better compete with rival Android devices, and the likelihood of increased storage capacity.

Remaining the same, however, will be the retina-class display, which won't see a revision until the true iPhone 6 launches towards the end of next year or the start of 2014.
