Smart Bro [Merged]

Been a smart bro user for almost a month now, so far bandwidth is good, during the first week it was down for around two days because of maintenance issues in the base station, aside from that its been smooth sailing.

Medyo sablay lang yung installer kasi mali yung tutuk niya sa antaenna tapos sinabi pa saken na di pwede gumamit ng firewall :seeth:

sir CVT, upgraded na po yung plan ko to 512kbps. pinatutok ko dun sa base station (after ng Milenyo) sa Queensrow kasi konti lang subscribers doon.

I'm also contemplating to switch to Globe pero madaming downtime si Globe.

Location - Quezon City: Been a smartbro subscriber for almost a year now plan 999. Generally - i'm satisfied though there are some seldom blackout connection (happened 2x in a year) but still on tolerable level.

We have our SmartBro wireless for over a year now and I must admit that it is very reliable. Never was an occasion when I do not have internet connection for long periods of time. Its only drawback its speed as we're only getting about 150kbps vs. their advertised speed of 384kpbs. (boybi and squatt3r,- how did you get that amazing speed)...

So, we checked out PLDT MyDSL,- sadly it was worse here in our area.

Then, Globe Broadband, where I am currently getting better than 1000kbps. We are now on their 15-day trial period.

So, it looks like we are going to Smart to request for a disconnection of our trustworthy and reliable SmartBro Wireless in a few days....

So far, no problem with our Globe Broadband. Will sign-up for it for their P995 / 1.5mbps.... Have also filed for the disconnection of our Smartbro, effective yesterday at Smart, ATC....

At that speed and you have good uptime/reliability,- okay na ang SmartBro!

(Actually, one of the reasons, aside from speed, why I moved out of SmartBro is the necessity of an antenna/canopy,- not quite a windload, but it could be knocked down during storms....)

sino na sa inyo gumamit ng router ng smart broadband? anong magandang brand na router? gusto ko kasing ikabit yung isan ko pang desktop and then yung Laptop ko eh. salamt sa magrereply

Na try ko na D-Link wired router and Linksys WRT54G wireless router with SmartBro, no problems whatsoever.

Dito kasi sa amin bro., may promo ang Globe Broadband....

15-day trial at 1mbps.... Every week may flyers sila sa lahat ng bahay at may kasama pang Inquirer na diyaryo....

Tapos, puwede mong ipa-activate na para maging 1.5mbps plus may P1000 na gift certificate na puwede mong gamitin sa Ayala Malls....

I just requested our (A)DSL line activated a couple of days ago....

Ako rin, nakagamit ng router for our SmartBro,- Linksys WRT54G.... Straightforward ang installation.

Walang problema in our > 1 year of use.....

basta sakin balak ko nang magpalit sa globe broadband kasi i noticed panay na ang DC ng Smartbroken almost 1month na.. kapag tumawag ka sasabihin wala namang problema kung walang problema bakit p ako magaaksayang tumawag diba? tanong ko lang kong puede bang kabitan ng router yung Globe Broadband?

hmm... ganun ba yun? pero sana sumasabay expansion ng capacity nila sa pagdami ng subscribers... di ko kasi alam kung may kinalaman sa pagpalit ko ng cpu e.. bumili kasi ako bago...
