btw, regarding xiaomi powerbank, madami fakes dead giveaway yung black na powerbank. xiaomi doesnt have a black powerbank.
another way is to charge the powerbank and while it is charging, use the powerbank to charge your phone. if it charges the phone while charging itself, you got yourself the real deal. it uses the texas instrument design/circuit.
if it doesnt, its a fake
depends on their design. i can speak only for xiaomi since i researched it when i was looking for powerbanks. sobra hassle dahil dami fake. pyxis na lang kinuha ko. btw, i got a fake 1 before i researched hehe
if its fake, it will not damage thr device. sobra tagal nga lang din pala mag charge...
Sulit yung Romoss power bank. Basta yung orig. Tsaka dapat aware sa computation kung ilan talaga yung need na capacity. Common mistakes kasi nung iba iniisip, kung 2000mah ang battery ng phone and 6000mah sa power bank ay makaka tatlong charge sila. More or less mga isang full charge lang or 1 and a half charge.
from what i gathered, there is about 20% loss sa powerbanks. so if the powerbank is 10000mah (assuming they indicated real capacity), you can only charge a 2000mah battery about 3-3.5x only.
^Depending on the design of the DC to DC converter w/c is a boost and buck ckt. Its basically just a laptop batteries in parallel, the more cells the higher the aH.
I bought a cheap P150 5600mAh, it lasted only 2months before the converter lost boost. Replaced it with Sanyo Probox 5200mAh, cells are made in japan. Almost a year na, so far so good.

Been looking into Romoss lately, looking for a powerbank for my laptop.
Tama ba conversion ko:
My laptop's battery is rated at 50 Watt-hours, good for 8 hours kuno; my adapter's voltage rating is 19.5 volts. Converted to milliamp-hours, it should come at 2500 mAh, right?
50 watt-hours *1000 miliwatts/hour / 20 volts = 2500mAh
So in theory, a 10400mAh powerbank should be good for at least 4 full charges?
Seems the only Romoss powerbank that can do laptops(i.e. up to 20V DC output) is rated at 10400mAh only
may pyxis na powerbank sa sm north. 890 lang din ang price for 10400mah
So which is better? Pyxis or Bavin? I like the bavin digital because it has an indicator on how much more power you have left. The cheapest I saw was 1,250The regular in 1,100
intex 5000mah "lithium polymer" for 750petot

Bang for the Buck? If it's just a buck, it will surely Bang!!!
You get what you pay for so buy the ones with quality even if they're more expensive.
