Is PLDT's 5 mbps fbr good enough for home internet?

Twisted pair is 5MB up to 15MB extended rates yan na ang sagad ng existing copper 120ohm twisted pair technology-discreet multi-tone/g.dot shdsl line coding, not unless gagamit ng concentrator multiple copper wire to get the 15mb x n lines.

Genuine fiber you will have fibermux then ethernet or wifi output usually SC, LC, FC connector sa demarc but the pigtail is inside the box directly spliced.

Sa mga condo since ang existing in-house-wiring is still 120ohm twisted pair, up to building MDF lang naka fiber then VDSL na as line driver. Mga hitech na condo lang may provision sa multimode fibre, may sariling FDU sa panel box ng unit.

That's what I'm saying sa condo yun fiber cable hanggang doon lang sa panel box then lahat ng papasok sa unit yun existing copper/DSL line nila.

Kung copper yan panigurado ang mga equipment niyan mdf niyan is Copper lang din. Hindi kase pwede mag join ang fiber at copper.

Basta 5mbps may fiber ang sinasabi ko lang house to poste hindi sa condo or building [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

Pwede naman magsama yan sa isang kwarto lalo nat hybrid ang new buildings ngayon-MDF disconnection modules for copper side-by-side with FDU/ODU patch panels.

Yung fibr na pambahay, ang drop-wire nila may demarcation box din at dun nka splice sa connector ng patch cord papunta modem. Seriously bakit 5MB pero nka fiber, 25mb na yata minimum ngayon sa fibr?Sabagay si pldt latag lang ng latag ng fiber kahit wala subscriber sa area at kahit nagsisiwelga employees nila, they are up to something in the future rehabilitating their infra.

ala yan PLDT and Globe, sa small player na kami. Fiber 5mbps + cable TV.....1 gaming Pc, 7 android phones. no buffering on video streaming / Youtube and no capping pa * Php 1499/mo. no regrets...

So far, okay naman yung nakuha naming plan sa PLDT; 20mbps + landline + cable. P2150 lang.. At ang nagpaganda pa dun, laging more than 20mpbs ang nakukuha, ave is around 26mbps.

Since Monday morning, down na ang pldt home internet namin. I have been bugging pldt to go check our line kasi pati landline namin walang dial tone. I have been given the usual run around bs like we understand your frustration blah blah. Until yesterday when i tried calling 171 for and update recording na lang na parr daw kami ng major cable bs. Anyone experiencing pldt home problems here?

we had issue some months ago. poor, then zero, signal.
serviceman came within the prescribed 24 hours.
sabi niya, "their cables (wire? optical?) are sensitive to ..."splicing". use the wrong tool, as what the younger 'uns are wont to do, and the cable gets wounded. after some time, it will fail. daw.
anyway, he fixed ours within an hour. climbed the poste on the road to get to the node.
ok na since.

actually, the few times we called them for service, they came quick, naman.
is it because their HQ is just a few blocks from our place?
