F#(% PLDT! Old subscribers can't get the upgraded speeds for the same plan as being advertised now without getting locked into a new contract. Lilipat pa naman ako ng bahay probably next year so ayoko malock sa contract.

ala yan PLDT and Globe, sa small player na kami. Fiber 5mbps + cable TV.....1 gaming Pc, 7 android phones. no buffering on video streaming / Youtube and no capping pa * Php 1499/mo. no regrets...
I have 1MB DSL in the prabins, P699/mo no cap, pang CCTV at paminsan minan browse. Can't upgrade since magkakaroon ng cap at syempre no one can't beat the P699Youtube palang ngayon streaming consumes 1MB, the CCTV is buffered in the server so kayang kaya.
Most CCTVs now use P2P so they can be viewed outside your network without port-forwarding. I only have a couple of legacy cameras left that does not support P2P. But I don’t do port-forwarding, rather, I’ve setup VPN to access them. VPN is also used to manage my other home devices connected to the network. I think the consumer plans of Converge only offers CG-NAT to it’s subscribers. Unfortunately in that case, port-forwarding and connecting to your home using VPN won’t work.
That’s the major difference between being issued a public IP vs. being ‘hidden’ behind the telco’s CG-NAT.

kasi walang sense na mag pure fiber kung 3-5 mbps lang speed, mag pldt ulterra na lang hinde pa mahirap mag install PLDT since ganun din lang pala speed na makukuhaVDSL2 is being rolled out by PLDT along with its Fiber-optic lines, both branded as Fibr. It will provide fiber-like data rates, but for subscribers that exclusively have older POTS/Copper facilities. VDSL is offered on 20Mbit/s and 50Mbit/s packages under PLDT Fibr brand.
dito sa condo vdsl nga ang gamit. plan is fiber 50mbps
