latest yata na xacti yung HD1, hi definition video mode 1280x960 yata pero parang interpolated lang...
parang mabusisi yung xacti walang built-in lens cover tapos kailangan mo pang i-swivel out yung LCD... probably not for everyday carry...

you can check the HK prices here which you can use to compare to Mayer's (if you can get through their always busy phone line).
Btw, I think HK-purchased digicams' warranty are not honored here. I'm not very sure, though.
You are a perfect candidate for a D-SLR upgrade!![]()
I have my Sony P200 for a year now, and it is taking great pictures.
Also what is good about this digicam is fast at startup and refresh rate is fast too. Also this has manual controls, and must feature for amateur shooters who are planning to have DSLR soon.
It is highly recommened at www.dpreview.com and great user photo result at www.trekearth.com.
Not to mention the menus is very user friendly. And if you buy this, don't forget to buy extra memory since this one comes with 16Mb MS. If you buy MS Pro Duo, you need to buy an adapter. And it supports MPEG4 video capture.
I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for P&S cam with a taste of manual control.
i recommend the Canon A700 hehe or better yet the A710is..very fast startup, excellent pictures, 6MP and best of all a class leading 6X zoom (for canon PnS models), all for way below 20k...approx 20k for the IS version
sa street ng hidalgo(near quiapo church) madami din dyan digital cam shop.
less 2k ang price compared sa ebay.ph
Canon S3 IS sa quiapo sells at 19k na lang ata, you may want to consider this. Kung DSLR, asa 40+K ata ung Canon 400d(hidalgo)
18500 ang S3IS sa Hidalgo right now, not sure kung may stock, though.
heard nagdedeliver din daw mayer in certain areas. but can you negotiate for a good price ba over the phone? si ramon king ba mismo kakausapin?
Just a warning.....their phone is always busy the whole day. (you might destroy your phone's redial button from trying to get through). And if you do get through, the prices they give are not that low, almost the same as the malls. (they are protecting their business from competitors). So its better to go to their store and talk with Ramon face to face when haggling.
wow ayos pala diyan sa may quiapo area mura nga tlaga yung digital cam kung 40K+ yung canon400D n yung S3is is less than 20k nabasa ko nga sa inquirer dati yang street nalimutan ko lang nga kung ano street, galing naman mura mga cam kala ko nga mga film type pa yung binibenta or joke lang totoo pala..digicam ko ngayon is sony dsc t-10 P&S, ok siya kasi di nag-eextend yung lens niya and maganda kuha nung movie mode niya as in kailangan lang ng extra bat & memory, kapag nakaipon ako baka mapadaan ako diyan sa hidalgo para diyan na lang ako bibili ng SLR, type ko 400D.kasi yung t10 ko padala pa iyon e kung ikukumpara yung presyo dito at sa states e halos kalahati yung diperensya (sa US price is $300 kasama memory dito 30,000 wala pa memory) sa US kasi price ng 400D nasa 600-800 kung dito 40k ok na kasi may warranty pa na magagamit di katulad pag bili pa sa US void ang warranty
open kaya ang Mayers sa Dec 26? nobody's answering their phone right now, sarado din ba sila ng sundays?
sobrang linaw ba ng video capture ng casio digicams using mp4? malinaw pa rin ba if i burn it to DVD? how does mp4 compare with video cams using miniDV?
eto lang kasi ang wala sa canon, which i find very useful if talagang malinaw ang video quality. and casio doesn't have image stabilization which helps a lot in low light shooting.
here's casio's sample video for the S600:
