Good choice, ok yan, meron sa photoline metrotown mga 25k yata...
maganda yan wide angle, pero medyo makapal, sanay ako sa casio exilim s600 ko eh super slim... at pangit ang video ng canon hehehe

For me, OK video ng Canon, comparable na sya sa mga Hnadycam, unlike other brand you are limited to less than 30 fps...
first cam ko is ixus V3.. OK sya.. now I got a S3 IS.. you can zoom while taking a video, tapos pwede pa take still shot.. although kita sa video pag take mo still shot...(lugi)

i have the 5mp version of that Canon and i'm very happy with it. bulletproof durability, very easy to use, and more features than i need. pic quality is excellent even for 5mp.
i'm just an average pic/short video user, so the bar is set pretty low for me...i rarely mess with the settings or extra features. if you're a 'power' user my review might not mean anything to you, but i do like this camera so much that i'll probably upgrade to the newest model in a couple of years.

one thing that made me choose the Kodak V series over the canon slim ones eh wala pa MPEG4 support yan mga Canon slim cams.
MPEG4 at 30 fps, dvd quality na yan. if you have 1GB of memory card, puwede ka na mag-record 1 hour DVD quality. if you have 2GB, then 2 hours, isang movie na hehehe
best of both worlds, that's why I discarded my videocam na and settled for this. isa na lang dala-dala ko to record both photos and videos.
tapos less hassle pa sa pag transfer sa PC and sa web, since MPEG4 na. no conversion needed.

Consider the following models as well:
FujiFinePix F30 or F31 - Bar none, best indoor/lowlight pocket cam around.
Panasonic Lumix FX50 - Great optics

Yeah but wait till you see the video capabilities of other brands.... like MPEG4 compression, canon eats up TONS of space, to capture 1hr of video you probably need seven 1GB cards!!!
But still this particular Canon is interesting due to wide-angle capability.... so the crappy video is probably forgiveable...

boybi, mas mura pa rin dito sa Pinas vs. HK (Mongkok-Sham Shui Po) o sa Singapore (Sim Lim Square), if you know where to buy.
I always get my digicams / videocams from Ramon King - owner of Mayer Photo. His prices are normally 30%~40% lower than mall prices. Yun lang nga, cash basis only. Malaki talaga margin ng mall stores - that's why they can give you 0% for 12-months. Even Alex of Ambassador can't beat his prices.
He has the PowerShot SD800IS on stock for P16,500.- (sealed box, with original Canon warranty). If you call Super East/Canon Phils., they'll tell you he's one of their top 3 resellers by volume. He carries practically all brands.
